i'm pretty sure they give a reason for bans trough mail or even on your b.net account somewhere, woudl be weird otherwise.
and if you read the policy....you are kinda screwed...meanwhile some obvisou cheater that get exposed are free to go, and those who are exposing them are the one banned.
buff the ban hammer, it sucks.
i'm pretty sure they give a reason for bans trough mail or even on your b.net account somewhere, woudl be weird otherwise
No they don't. The policy is pretty clear and has been quoted on this thread several times. "Bungie does not discuss individual account restrictions and bans". That reads pretty clear to me that they don't discuss it and therefore, won't give a reason.
meanwhile some obvisou cheater that get exposed are free to go, and those who are exposing them are the one banned
Wrong on both. 1. Plenty of cheaters are banned and come here claiming to be innocent but when people go to their play history, see clearly they cheated. 2. Naming and shaming on the forum does not result in a ban, on the game or forum. It usually gets you a warning and at worse, can get you a forum posting restriction for a limited time. It never gets you a game ban.

lol both thx for the time you've put to answer my post, and chill.. usually in games when you are banned they always give you a reason when you try to log in game like "your account has been banned for cheating" thats...pretty cheap of them to not even give a reason, thats their right i guess but still not..human. and when i talk about shaming and naming, yeha its not bans, but they are sanctioned, i mean its liek being arrested by the police if you called them because you've witnessed a crime.
and when i talk about shaming and naming, yeha its not bans, but they are sanctioned, i mean its liek being arrested by the police if you called them because you've witnessed a crime.
Do you understand why naming and shaming isn't permitted? If it was, it would mean anyone could call out anyone claiming the cheated, even if they didn't. Some people claim cheating is going on when their own connection is lagging causing no damage to the opponent. Some people claim cheating when they are frustrated that their skills aren't as good as their opponents. Those are just a couple of examples I have witnessed myself with some of my own clanmates/friends over mic. Not everything is because someone cheated but so many people jump to say their opponent cheated when the fact is no cheating occurred. The policy stops false witch hunts.

It’s more like publicly declaring that someone robbed your house without contacting the police or having any clear evidence other than suspicion. It’s relying on mob justice regardless of proof. Report suspected cheaters in game or via the online form. Mentors and ninjas have no authority over things that happen in the game.

yeah true..but there is actually no way of showing bungie true proofs of somebody cheatin, we gotta rely on a report button that probably does nothing, and hope for more than 1000 people to report this person to hope for a ban.

Bungie already has access to the information that would prove malicious intent. You can also link footage if you use the online form.
yeah true..but there is actually no way of showing bungie true proofs of somebody cheatin, we gotta rely on a report button that probably does nothing
Bungie goes through the data logs of the game play of the reported player. The data logs show more proof than what anyone can provide to them. You can choose to believe it or not.
