I can assure you that several of those programs are what triggered your ban. You are running programs which are used to insert code into other games to modify the way they react/act. Unfortunately, Bungie has stated every single time that any program that can be detected as code insertion; you will be banned. Regardless of if it is for this game or for another as there is no way for that detection software to tell if it is for D2 or for another game.
I do not know if a software is working behind that is not effecting destiny but other games.
Sorry that is not an excuse. As a PC user you are responsible for any and all software running on your computer and even if you have something that could infect their servers, it would be your responsibility to maintain your PC virus free or face bans.

They need better detection software then. I used to play MoH:AA on PC and used to run the anti-cheat software that most servers wanted players to run. The detection software they had running didn’t ban people for using software/mods for other games as it could detect what that software was used for. Maybe Bungie should invest in that...🧐

And you have a logical fallacy there because you stated 'on their servers' which, in the case of the game you discussed, runs on dedicated servers. It is a LOT easier to control cheating on dedicated servers but also costs A LOT more and would require this game to carry a monthly fee to support those servers. Here's the deal, it's THEIR sandbox, THEIR toys and all of us AGREED to the rules of their sandbox, this is not a democracy.
-
Yeah I clearly said ‘their servers’. Did you even learn to read at school? Because ‘most servers’ doesn’t read as ‘their servers’ to me at all. The game didn’t have dedicated servers, and I never once mentioned that it did.
-
Dude rules change all the time, and there are ways (as I programmer I can say this) to detect if a program is effecting your program or not, on top of that they could have a system that asks the people to stop using that software, and then if they don't ban them. Last if a game takes your money then they have to give you a reason for banning you by law, other wise you can mark all transactions to them as fraudulent, for unlawful service denial.
-
Last if a game takes your money then they have to give you a reason for banning you by law, other wise you can mark all transactions to them as fraudulent, for unlawful service denial.
And I point you towards your EULA and SLA that you agreed to that states they do NOT have to give you any reason and can shut the entire game own tomorrow and not compensate any of us. Please, show me ANY law that states this ... I'll wait ...
-
Lol you think dedicated servers are easy to control cheaters on that's a lie.
-
I never said they were EASY to control cheater but they are EASIER to control cheaters as you can mitigate more of the inherent problems server side unlike what we have today. It also, if set up properly does not display each players IP address to the person playing and attempting to IP flood people. It requires people to continually monitor those servers though which is why it will never happen. That and it would take a complete and utter re-write of the game.
-
fun fact: none of the titan skaters(even people streaming in, either with mouse scroll or A MACRO didnt get a ban. yeah, even if the bans are rightful they need a reason/evidence.
-
They do not have to provide ANYTHING. And you agreed to it in the EULA, TOS, and SLA. Their sandbox, their toys, their rules.
-
They actually do by law. That is if they take your money to play the game.
-
Again as stated before show me ONE law that states that. If you violate their rules (which the OP originally did) they have the RIGHT to protect their intellectual property. Let's say you paid admission to go into a club and you start pulling your pants down and flashing people, does the club have to give your money back when they kick you out? Same idea here. He paid for a license to a game which included specific rules. He broke those rules. They revoked his license.
-
Wrong. Eula is a contract and once signed, you are bound by its rules slugger
-
I can assure you my pc is virus free, however I am using my pc much, due to my classes at university. I do not know every single program and their extensions. I am a hardcore gamer, but I am a casual pc user.
-
And I told you also that several of the program you listed are known code injectors. Those will be detected by the anti-cheat software ... your account will be reviewed and banned by Bungie for it.
-
I do have those programs since before Destiny 2 released, do they ban after 2 years?
-
I do have those programs since before Destiny 2 released, do they ban after 2 years?
Destiny 2 hasn't been on PC, or even out for 2 years on any platform. We just finished year 1.
-
my bad, *do they ban after 1 year?
-
my bad, *do they ban after 1 year?
You may not have had the software running while running D2 back then. They only ban if something is detected and a manual review/investigation reveals something.
-
you do not know how those pieces of software have been updated. But it may have also just finally been detected or they gave you the benefit of the doubt at first hoping you would be mature and remove your programs. Unfortunately, your account is gone now, it is NOT coming back and they will NOT discuss the reasons for the ban (or it allows people to figure out ways around bans) nor will it be removed. Stick a fork in this account guardian, its done.

I know its done, Im just taking my chances :D
