I got Destiny 2 during the promotion in November where you could get the game for free on PC.
I have not once been able to successfully start up the game without running into the buffalo error code, as well as it telling me to launch the game using the battle.net app (which I obviously have been).
I have tried many fixes from forums to videos, including, but not limited to:
- reinstalling the game
- reinstalling the game AND client
- reinstalling the game AND client both to a different drive
- flushing DNS settings
- attempting to log in from the Americas, Europe, and Asia (both from the login and above the "play now" button for selecting region)
- resetting my password to log out all other instances of my account (which there shouldn't be any, as I made the account strictly to get Destiny 2)
- running the game as admin from my desktop
- running the battle.net client as admin from my desktop
- running the game/client from their source folders, and as admin
Additionally, I have played Destiny 1 on Xbox a long time ago, but that was under my Xbox account - I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it.
If anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to share. I've noticed that most people with this error code have been able to log in before or get booted to the title screen and get the error code. Mine seems unique in that I have never gotten past the title screen where you press "enter".
