Heres how i see it they arent promoting or deamonizing it they are playing the middle ground why? Because when your game is #1 on twitch the day your new raid comes out and you have 20,000+ people watching just one of the people playing that content even of they did abuse a mechanic that wasnt working entirely as intended there is no advertising better than free advertising and at the end of the day the folks over at bungie still want a paycheck

Middleground isnt changing the light level to cut off 99.96% of the people who had participated in previous first-day raids.

I dont see anything that ever said that the minimum level for the raid would be 520 the raid is considered "endgame" content so I think it being minimum 550 and spanning over 30 power level from beginning to wnd sounds pretty end game to me if they started at 520 and went to 580 even with good drops you wouldnt be able to damage any enemys by the end so your logic isnt very sound

Dataminers, the ones who always know whats up early, alreayd had the LL from the patch. It was 520. not 550. That had to be adjusted last minute beffore the raid opened because they knew how many people had what light level available. It was intenitonaly done to cut people out to force the " worlds first" to their favorite streamers.

Lol thats rich so because they had a place holder number of 520 which dosent make sense as a base level for the raid when the soft cap is 500 but because "dataminers" who are always right *cough* dubious volley in d1*cough* just hecause its there dosent mean its true but believe what you will your argument is based entirely off speculation and not on fact because we dont know if they where going to release the raid at 520 without them saying directly that was the intention, could have been just the place holder from the dev build you will never actually know unless thats what they tell you

It was a last minue change that cut out roughly 30,000 people who normaly participate in their raids.
-
Its only speculation that is was last minute its a raid its supposed to be on the higher end of the power curve not for the casual player, they could have had it in the data as 520 that dosent mean thats what its going to be I get what you mean but to me to 520 dosent feel endgame at all amf this raid is 100% where it should be 550 is mid to end game

Edited by TINY_RIIIIIIIIICK: 9/18/2018 4:52:06 AMBecause the change deviates from just about every other one they've done? Data mining is a pretty spot on idea of whats coming down the line. They reveal level caps, new gear, voice lines, mission briefs, lore, etc, before its available, and rarely is it ever changed, more often, parts are left out, like items for a non existent strike or adventure. Its an incredible statistical anomaly for a company that can track and graph all user data and, gauges their changes based on that data, would somehow mistakenly cut out most of their player base for a challenge changing a value they do not normally change till the next level cap, at the last minute, while allowing streamers they know abused a leveling exploit to be roughly the only ones even close enough to being able to finish the fight from the start. That's not some mistake and them not acknowledging that what they did cut out the vast majority of their raid players is just more evidence of how little they seem to care for their own player base. The people who pay them.
