Destiny Servers Are Unavailable. . . for FOUR days?

I have not been able to log in to Destiny for 4 days now. The attached image/screenshot has been the extent of my Bungie gaming experience since Thursday, 07-26-18. I am an information technology graduate and am a server administrator by profession. Here are the following troubleshooting steps that I have taken and they have not helped. - Restarted the PS4 - Turned PS4 off, unplugged everything and retried. - Tried updating the Destiny 2 game. - Checked for a PS4 System Software update - My PS4 has a straight wired ethernet cord connection from my router. So, I tried switching to a wireless connection. NOTE: all electronic devices (wifi) work flawlessly in my home. My PC which uses a wired connected works flawlessly. - My PS4 works flawlessly with all other online games. I can connect to the PS store, surf the web, and use various internet reliant apps such as Youtube and Netflix. - Checked my router settings to make sure that all necessary ports were open and free. This includes all the router and all associated firewalls. - Booted into PS4 Safe Mode and tried restoring default settings & redid all system settings - I have 3 PS4's that all worked perfectly fine 4 days ago. I tried logging into Destiny with all of them by way of a wired and wireless connection. All of them produce the same result like the attached image. - I deleted Destiny 2 from my system and reinstalled the game. - I have literally sat in front of my TV for 45 minutes trying to repeatedly login to Destiny. No bueno on all of the above. - I have a steady internet connection speed of around 100 Down and 30-ish Up. It was at this point that I thought my account might possibly have been banned. I have never been banned from anything...game or not in my life because I'm simply honestly just a nice person. This is not the case either. I tried logging into Destiny with my wife's account (she has 3 characters) and also with my daughters account. Exact same problem. I lead a clan of 106 members across two clans on Bungie. . . and I have not been able to get onto the game once while almost every single other person has been able to. I do have a friend though, that is experiencing similar issues. Is there any end in sight to this?? dmg? deej? A little help here Bungie? ---- EDIT: I was able to log into Destiny within hours after making this post. This is very curious to me. I changed nothing and did nothing in between the time I made this post and all of a sudden magically being able to login properly again. :-/ This is so odd to me. I won't complain or be negative here so I will just say this... If one of the Destiny "gods" took pity on me and checked out my account/status and fixed something? I thank you.

  • Servers are not offline - it is likely there is some trouble with establishing a connection with your network to the game. You have certainly tried some of the steps outlined in this, but it’s a good idea to give the network troubleshooting guide a go: https://www.bungie.net/en/Support/Troubleshoot?oid=12915 And contacting your ISP might help also, if none of that is working. Sometimes connection issues can be on that end of the network.

I had the same thing and could not log into playstation.com on my computer either, but some of my online games did work, e.g., The Division and For Honor. After an hour or so chat session with PSN, I was told I needed to open certain ports on my router, which they defined and advised that my ISP could open for me. After 3 hours on phone with Comcast, they said they could not help me because I own my own router, but they put me in touch with the manufacturer: Linksis. After holding for an agent for a half hour they said they knew exactly what I needed, but that since my device was out of warranty they would not tell me unless i gave them $20. I figured it out on my own and set up forwarding of the ports psn defined and EVERYTHING returned to normal. PS: When I asked PSN why these settings would need changed after working fine for a very long time, they said it was caused by their outage issues, which is when my issues started ...I hope this helps!

          • Bungie has your DLC money - they could care less if you or anyone ever plays the game.
