The only difference between Trials of the Nine and Trials of Osiris is the fourth person.
The problem with Trials is that its Trials.
Its a broken event that is designed to allow strong players to exploit weaker players for fun and prizes....and the weaker players get nothing.
So the weaker players stop showing up to be nothing but cannon fodder. So player pool gets distilled down to nothing but strong players....and the event wasn't designed to accommodate teams of equal skill until late in a card.
So the event is obnoxious....sweaty.....and has a massive cheating problem because its design was flawed from the start.
Competiive playlist and probably some form of competitive gambit will likely replace Trials.....and Trials just needs to die.

Edited by xRetsu: 7/24/2018 10:34:36 PMEven that isn’t completely true. I was running pvp with a fireteam that incurred 3 losses in a row. Our next match after that was a team that absolutely creamed us and claimed their 7-win flawless victory

Those are sandbox issues.

Not all man .

Edited by kellygreen45: 7/24/2018 1:22:08 PMThe ones that aren't sandbox issues are there to promote and reward more aggressive play, compared to the super passive, super campy play that was Trials of Osiris. The problem is that this was over-ridden by the changes to the sandbox.

What??? More aggressive that’s a funny way to describe tot9.
Trials just needs to die.
Yes it does. The sooner Trials dies the better.
-
It really does. Its impact on the game as a whole has largely been a toxic one for PVP.....and letting the air out of the power-fantasy for PVE.

Nail on the head...exactly how I feel. D1 PvE and PvP went from bad to worse after all the decisions for the game were based around Trials. That in turn led to the mess of a game we received for D2. You can map everything they changed because of Trials and how they have now rolled all of that back. Here's to hopefully getting our game back.

Trials and what I believe was Jon Weisznewski's agenda to turn The Crucible into the next e-sport.

The only thing that pisses me off more than what he's done to the game is the fact that I can never remember how to spell his last name...

I made a guess.... and was just lucky enough to guess right.
