Called tis a while ago when the leaks appeared. I believe I simply said "Rasputin is an ally not an enemy so why would he be the villain?" There was never any possibility of fighting his constructs. Fighting alongside them maybe but, not fighting them.

Except that's not exactly true is it. He warned them not to try to activate SIVA, then when they did activate it he killed them to stop it falling into the wrong hands. Saladin understood this as it was his doomed exhibition that was tasked with shutting down the mess THEY started!

Rasputin warned then that the world was not yet ready for SIVA but, they went to activate it anyway. He attacked them in the Siva activation chamber. He didn't activate SIVA. In fact he had hidden it! Saladin then seals the Iron Lords in the chamber to contain SIVA and Rasputin makes zero attempt to open the seal. Something he could have done without any effort. Later it is the fallen who find the chamber and steal SIVA.

As long as I am aware, there is another warmind. Charlemagne. He is on IO I believe. There is an adventure where you follow some octahedrons to release him or something. I don't remember well that part

The music is a reference to the original D1 Rasputin missions where your ghost comments that we have to save rasputin as he's the last opera lover left that ghost can relate to. Also it was confirmed by Bungie that Rasputin is "The last warmind". Back in D1 we also do a mission to mars where we open up the systems and allow Rasputin to take over "All remaining warmind facilities in the solar system" So nope this is just Rasputin. He now literally controls all warmind facilities we have encountered. edit: In fact in D2 itself. Ikora confirms in one of the missions that Rasputin is the only warmind left. Oddly it's when your ghost asks about the music boxes.

I wouldn't be so sure. The music playing during that mission is not Rasputin's style, as far as I remember. Believe me, I have conpleted D1 4 times already (deleted one of my characters). And in relation to the last warmind, lots of lore in D1 was retconned so maybe this is as well. If I remember correctly, they said it either in dark Bellow or vanilla. Some time has passed and things change. But, ill keep an open mind to see what happens. I want to be amazed

They may introduce a new one who knows but, as of right this second, their official stance is that Rasputin is the last of the warminds. I would seriously ignore anything any Lore masters have said to say otherwise. Edit: Also, Opera is not simply russian music. Rasputin used the russian opera to convey his moods in the Cosmodrome. It's not really likely that he would use the same music when in a different situation. In this case the music was offensive/attack based. Look up the name of the tune he was playing.

It would require a smarter ai than what we have in destiny. One that could handle adaptive combat in reaction to the player's behavior. I've seen similar a few times before, and it'd honestly let them get away with only having to add one new unit, just that the one unit would be able to alternate weapons to be able to switch from cover based flanking to rushing the player while there are a few dedicated models like snipers and heavy ordnance. They need to feel like you're fighting something smart. I'd also have players only engage them in darker environments to add to the impact as cover for ai faults. No big intro to reveal them, just let the player stumble on them for themselves.

Ice ... on Mars. Exo enemies fit the theme too well. Bungle is way too smart to have a good story or even a common sense idea.

If you look at Mars's poles. There are huge masses of ice there. It is theorized that Mars, previously was similar to earth, but a lacking atmosphere made it go super cold, and all water concentrated on the poles

Yes i know these things, but it wouldn’t matter anyway if you go by destiny lore, as the traveller changed mars to make habitable. The thing with me is that enjoy picking on bungie.
