Once my friends went up against lag switchers who did the infinite loading glitch in D1 in hopes to get them to leave
My friends waited 45 minutes and got the dub

Edited by FataLVisioN_Oo: 2/25/2018 8:08:03 AMThat wasn't a lag switch. It only happened when a self res warlock was immediately killed after self res and he was the last guardian standing on his team. The only way to "fix that problem" at the time was to have a warlock on the other team wipe then self res. Couldn't stand when you would be stomping a team of potatoes and the glitch would happen and you wouldn't have a warlock on your team... literally sat there for 3 hours one night waiting for a team of .5's that were getting demolished to leave.

You're thinking of one glitch, he's thinking of another The infinite loading glitch is when you load into a match, go black screen before it starts like usual but stay like that for long periods. It's alive and well in d2, I've seen it firsthand and there's a known xbl clan that does it who have gathered a bunch of attention but nothing is done to them since this is bungie.
-
I've never seen that with 200+ lighthouse trips and an unhealthy amount of matches. I have been black screened but it clears up after a bit... that's just natural when connecting to people on the other side of the world through a P2P system... especially when those people are in a 3rd world country which happens. I have been booted one by one by a guy sitting afk in the back of the other teams spawn quite a bit that is about it.

Yeah it happened to me once at the last game. I thought maybe just a glitch but ended up checking that teams stats and they did (and do) it every time they match a decent team I asked my clan who used to run trials all weekend when it was out if they've ever matched them and they knew of it as well There's also a big trials sherpa here on the forums named we can't lose who I saw matched them since I sometimes look at thier recent games to see if they've been banned or are still doing it and saw his team only had 2 members and they dnf'd so I asked him if they did it and sure enough they had and he's matched them before so tried to wait them out for over an hour at the black screen but his teammates got fed up and left so he did as well. They've been a known problem here on xbl but bungie literally do zero about it.

You just sit there and eventually it loads. That isn't booting anyone. More then likely they are in a 3rd world country..... internet there isn't the greatest and it is probably far from where you are located causing pings to spike to 500+. Just going from a US server to a European server in CS:GO (dedicated server mind you) your ping can spike to 500+. Can't imagine how high it would be P2P probably 1000-2000 if pings were actually shown in destiny.
-
No it doesn't, they waited an hour and were still black screen, they'll keep you like that until you get frustrated and leave. Once is a laggy mistake. Twice even. These guys do it every game, there is 100% no doubt they're intentionally cheating
-
I doubt they waited an hour. Probably 5 minutes. Lag happens man not everything is a lag switch. If they were lag switching anyway they would just save themselves the trouble of waiting and just boot you one by one while they sat there.
-
Lol ok dude, so the fact that every decent team that matches this one and dnf is all due to lag Not. I know I waited 10 mins in my game before walking away and getting kicked for inactivity That's not lag. That's black screen glitching
-
Edited by FataLVisioN_Oo: 2/25/2018 6:43:14 PMThat is just lag, it happens. Someone who is legit lag switching isn't going to sit there for 10 minutes plus and wait they are going to get your IP, boot you, move onto the next team.
-
It's not lag switching It's another form of cheating - where you prevent the game from starting until the other team gets kicked for inactivity or leaves in frustration It's not lag at all, especially considering how this happens to any good team they match
-
Edited by FataLVisioN_Oo: 2/25/2018 7:45:36 PMThe only thing that causes that is lag. More then likely those people are from a 3rd world country. Not everyone that plays this game around the world has access to good internet. It is what it is. And is a flaw with the P2P system.

Edited by AQME: 2/25/2018 8:15:05 PMNo it's not, no offense but you don't know what you're talking about, the black screen glitch has been around since D1, I'm very surprised you didn't hear of it until now but it's certainly abused. Your lag solution works if it's a one time thing. This happens to each team they match. Hardly lag, I waited 10 mins and we can't lose says he waited an hour, that's not lag, that's cheating, if it were lag after 5 mins someone would have received a contacting servers message and been disconnected. Not kicked for inactivity or stuck on permanent black screen Nil8gryphon is not from a 3rd world country to begin with. His team connect fine to bad player teams and he plays those matches out full. Idk why you're trying to claim it's lag, its clearly not and this has been a thing for years though more people get ddos then encounter this I wish I could get we can't lose in here to explain better since has matched them a few times and they always do it to him

Edited by FataLVisioN_Oo: 2/25/2018 8:20:20 PMIf they are in a 3rd world country odds are the player base in that country will be next to nill therefore they will be searching for matches outside of there country. I highly doubt anyone waited an hour like I said before if they were legit cheating the cheaters aren't going to waste an hour of there time anyway they will look you up and boot you not just sit there hoping people leave. You won't necessarily get any messages. I've been in plenty of lag filled matches where it took 5 or so minutes to get out of the black screen and the other team teleported all about during the match. It's literally just lag. Things happen. Thank the P2P system... it is working as intended.
-
No it's not haha 1. The team is not from 3rd world 2. The team completes matches vs casual players - only good ones get black screened 3. I told you I stayed for 10 mins and we can't lose said he did for an hour. I know for a fact what I did and believe can't lose - he's been a known sherpa here since D1. 10 mins isn't lag. 2 mins maybe. 10 is cheating. So unless you're trying to claim this teams network routes through a third world country only after they match stacked teams and that it's not thier fault your theory makes no sense Here's a more accurate explanation. They match casual teams fine. They see they match a stacked and they pull the black screen glitch which leaves everyone sitting waiting for the game to start. Then the other team gets kicked for inactivity or is forced to play the waiting game. Any team is suspicious if they win numerous games with no one on the enemy team or multiple dnfs - especially without any kills and this ones stats clearly showcase cheating. You can search nil8gryphon on Twitter and see a few post asking bungie to do something about him. Not lag in the slightest

Edited by FataLVisioN_Oo: 2/25/2018 8:42:00 PMDon't get hung up on the 3rd world country I was using that as an example. Connecting to someone that is on the other side of the world alone will cause major lag. No idea who can't lose is. They would've just kicked him if they were actually cheating so again sounds like lag. Steamers cry about everything anyway. I can't count how many I've beaten up on and watched them blame everything under the sun moon and stars as to why they are losing. Heck had one crying about lag in a perfectly lag free match just because he was taking the D. 10 minutes can be lag. I've sat at a screen for 5 or so minutes plenty of times before the game launched and it was a match plagued with lag. They probably matched teams in there country and actually got to play them. Here is a more likely scenario. You said you are on xbox yeah? A whopping 10k players played trials this weekend so far on xbox.... so at any given time there is maybe and I'm being generous here 3k players searching for a match. The likely hood of you matching someone on the other side of the world is high..... guess what that causes? Extreme lag. Back in D1 when trials was around 175k players on xbox 360/xbox one/ps3/ps4 same thing as above ^^^
