Clap in admiration of how they -blam!-ed up a game that so many people loved and had so much potential

Go look up a local D&D group leader. Now simply ask them one question: "I was asked online to do this, but could you please tell me how long it takes you to come up with a complete plot, event schedule, and world each with different mechanisms, ect.?" If the answer is short of 1 week? They aren't very good DM's. Furthermore? If they say they actively work on it more then 1 month? You probably have an over-detailed DM. Not what you expected huh? There is a box. And it must fit within the box so others can be engaged and not feel bored? That's what that means. How does that relate to Destiny? Potential destiny content or enjoyment is only going to be as long as the conflict itself. You want more content? Ok. How's this for an "idea": Destiny 3 opens up. Your guardian is EXACTLY the same as Destiny 2. WHATEVER weapons and armor and stats you have now. It opens up the Fallen have actually found and restored an ancient mechanism which drains the Travelers light bit by bit. Here's the catch. Unlike the Cabal? This one is undetectable. We don't know WHERE to begin. However... you have your typical new 3 worlds... you can start on any of them. Recommendations though say Planet A. Not B, or C. Why? Because the ghosts around us can't get an accurate reading because both of those worlds are completely enveloped in darkness. You COULD go there though. Eventually? You re-level up, new abilities and subclasses ONLY if you find them along the way OR go to the Tower and commit a VERY big commitment to the vanguard leaders, so they think you can handle the trial of unlocking another. Either way? You end up on all three worlds. Calus is still around with his dreadnaught looking for the same thing you are, but that's the main issue: Wherever this machine or machines are? You haven't found it yet. You eventually find it. Hidden very well so only the people who followed the mission clues actually find it and thus, the first raid. To stop a machine which can effectively drain ANY light source from near it (how fun would that be? During a raid fight you lose your light capabilities and have to regain them back similar to D2? Not very fun.) You beat the raid. Now you got crucible, strikes, and nightfall left. Or... Would you rather have a straightforward campaign like Destiny 2? Because what I just pointed to up above? Was the mystery behind Destiny 1. The fact VERY few knew about the VOG and it's minotaurs suddenly showing up one day outside it or the SIVA raid. We NEVER knew what was coming next. We knew bits and pieces, but ANYONE who thought the Dreadnaught was coming? Pssssh. Don't even try and justify it. It was a brand new space. This is why games which have potential? Are not nearly as fun when you play them out. So enjoy the experience as long as you can and then move on to the next campaign. For the record too: It takes me around 15-20 days to build an entire world and campaign from scratch.
