Alright D2's class specific swords are cool idea and have given birth to quickfang and crown-splitter. Unique swords with different animations and attacks setting them apart from other swords. However this is not the case with the warlock exclusive sword which has the same animation and attacks as every other sword in the game. The unique perk it carries Whirlwind blade is shared by It Stared Back a sword from the raid which has an extra perk relentless strikes giving it additional efficiency compared to Eternity's edge. Honestly there is not much point to using Eternity's edge as it is outplayed by It Stared Back and negative space. As someone who mainly plays warlock it's a shame that this sword wasn't given as much attention as quickfang or crown-splitter. I propose a rework of the blade to fix this starting off with unique animations for the sword and a new attack like the quickfang and crown-splitter have. Warlocks are space wizards this sword should reflect that it could shoot projectiles or make use of the blocking ability to maybe absorb incoming enemy damage and use that to increase the damage dealt by the sword. If you read all this thanks for listening to my rant since this in no way is the biggest problem destiny 2 has but it's something that has bothered me since I got the sword anyway thanks reading this crap hopefully someone at bungie reads this and takes the time to change it for the better.

5 RepliesYou need to block more. Eternity's edge uses no ammo while blocking until incoming fire is absorbed. It also has the highest block rating of any sword in the game - it will literally reduce incoming damage by 90%. You can survive direct rocket launcher hits in crucible while blocking with it.
