I've been trying to play Destiny 2 online with a friend of mine who lives far away. When I try to join his fireteam, or have him join mine, we get an error that says "Unable to join target player. Please try again." It always says this though, and no amount of trying again makes it work. We're in the same region, and I'm able to connect normally to other fireteams. What could I possibly try to make this work?

Not had that in destiny 2, but used to happen allot in destiny 1.

I have the same problem. Some days ago I could connect to other players and join other fireteams, but I could not connect to a friend of mine. Now, with the same pc/networks setup, I cannot connect to anyone anymore.

1 ReplyGetting a similar issue when trying to join a fireteam with my son (first time we've attempted to join up since the connection issues in the UK over New Year) - I thought initially it might have been issues relating to sitting on the same LAN (it might still be) but it's the same error as above. Have had no problems upto Christmas grouping and nothing has changed locally.
