Feedback is usually the first line of defence against a player stumbling in here, confused and angered as to why he's been banned. I'd suggest we start there.

So should I change the tag to Feedback?

To clarify, I mean that Bungie could and likely should add a means of providing feedback for infractions caused against their automated security. Were that the case, each individual instance of a violation would have a better grasp on what exactly it was that happened and allow the individual to take steps to avoid whatever it was that caused it in future.

what, do you mean like a thread or something to advise what can get you banned!? that’s a great idea... they could make it a sticky at the top of the page so everyone could see it
you know, like the one they already have there advising what could get you a restriction/ban
Edited by VeraalFins: 11/9/2017 4:18:50 AMNo, what I would prefer to have is some sort of on-the-spot feedback. Like rumble- if a controller shakes because you're shooting something, that's instant feedback. A warning, a prompt, the game closing, or lights flashing- anything, really. Something on the spot that would leave little question as to what the problem is. "PLAYER, This program (program example) is super suspicious and we don't like it! Turn it off, or Destiny 2 isn't gonna start!" Even if a prompt like that were to spit out something super silly like "Hey, ShareX is super sketchy!", I would be surprised, but also be able to instantly turn it off and leave it at that. Even if it were a browser or something, I'd be alright- as long as it were clear what it was. Edit: Especially given that it's automated. I'm sure there are plenty of cheaters gettin' what coming to them, and that's great. (See TF2 for a game that could use some more banning power) But for those who are banned who aren't in any way cheating the system (Probably very few people, perhaps, but an 80$ purchase should have a little support in this respect) something that is able to work with you to understand such a sensitive system would be great.

why should they re program their game for pc players just because the can’t be arsed to read the info put out to them

Edited by VeraalFins: 11/9/2017 4:45:23 AMBecause it's not there. The code of conduct doesn't mention that programs that are running in the background, unassociated with destiny in any way, can trip the system, nor did they specify exactly what programs would do so. Because it's an $80 game. Because other publishers do it easily, and don't make such a mess of it. Because it's not that hard, relatively speaking, to do. It's an arbitrarily hard stance that's going way over the line of what's reasonable right into a ban that I'm still trying to figure out. Edit: It's not an $80 game. That's just what I paid. Still, there is plenty in a $60 purchase that would lead one to assume some consumer protections.

yes, yes it does

It doesn't, in full, state the extent of the things that can get you banned, no.
