The Raid Gear is Incredibly Disappointing: Let's Fix That

The armor looks nice, but that's not good enough. It hardly ever drops in the first place, lol. Here's an example of an overhaul for the raid armor to make them actually endgame gear: Helmet - [b]Mind's Eye[/b]: Generate additional Super energy when killing Cabal enemies. Chest - [b]Psionic Harness[/b]: Blocks the "bouncing" effect from a psion's attack. Gauntlets - [b]Ruthless Gladiator[/b]: Temporarily provides a stackable buff to Agility, Resilience, and Recovery when getting a melee kill. Boots - [b]Mind Your Step[/b]: Gain increased Agility while holding a Psionic Charge. ------------------------ Weapons: This is just sad. There's literally ONE weapon in the entire raid worth getting - the Rocket Launcher - and frankly, you can get away with Curtain Call until (if) it drops. Let's fix that now: All weapons gain the intrinsic perk "[b]Psionic Disruptor[/b]" that reads: "Damage from this weapon silences Psions and disables Phalanx shields. Deals additional damage to Cabal." [b]Additionally, all raid kinetic and energy weapons can swap between their roles with the appropriate mod.[/b] In other words, you can add an energy mod to the Auto to make it an energy weapon and a kinetic mod to the Scout to make it a kinetic weapon. Power weapons obviously remain as power weapons. [b]Ambitious Assassin simply doesn't do much of anything[/b]. Most of time you will find yourself refreshing your magazine before you engage again and leaving your magazine half empty just to get any mileage out of the perk is dangerous and stupid.

  • I agree some of the gear needs a buff, but most if the weapons are not included. I like your ideas for most of the armor, but not the chest. That removes all challenge from the dark realm. Honestly I think being able to hold more ammo for your power weapon would be good for the chest. The weapons; Universally: the weapons need a buff, I agree. But bypassing the projection shields would again, bypass half the challenge of the raid. The phalanx disruptor idea is good. The scout is fine - don't give me your copy/paste shpeel about 10% less damage and no explosive rounds. The raid scout is power and useful. Rocket - everyone can agree It's awesome. Sure, you can use a substitute, but it won't be the same. Pulse - would be better with a slower fire rate but all around solid. Sword - really Good, basically the sword versions of triple tap and rampage. Handcannon - honestly would have preferred full auto but the one we got is fantastic. Sniper rifle - huge magazine, DPS monster. Auto rifle - I'm not a fan of autos but I've seen this in action and it looks very reliable.
