Yes! Finally! The Destiny 2 beta has arrived! But it doesn't seem right. Am I playing CoD and Battlefield at the same time? The movement speed is slow I feel like I will only get around via sprinting on the ground when the jumps are supposed (or at least in my opinion) to make things faster and make your character agile. Some things to take note of Bungie: Hand Cannons don't feel right. Many, many ghost bullets. I have tested this on afk players I come across. And is the hit detection working as intended? It might be the ghost bullets but my shots aren't connecting nearly 50% of the time no exaggeration! And was "three-tapping" removed? I myself haven't noticed if you can 3tap an enemy guardian but it's been taking me about 6 shots with SunShot and about the same for the kinetic hand cannon (yes I forget the name deal with it). Pulse Rifles, is the recoil intended? If so I would guess that's your way to fix/prevent a pulse rifle meta (Even though it already started)? Some of them seem to kick up and to the left, up and to the right, and up, farther up, and really far up (not moving in a smooth vertical direction). This may be intended just wondering if that's true. Auto Rifles are good again! But not so much (once again in my opinion) as they could/should be. Good damage but crazy hard to control recoil. I've tried each scope and perk variation on the scathelock and it just continues to bounce around randomly. Scout Rifles. *sigh* scouts used to be one of my favorite weapons to use and now I feel like it's a pee-shooter. From what I hear energy weapons are meant to do more damage to shields. My energy scout does 20 damage to the body equally about an 8th of their shield (I don't remember headshot damage but I'm sure it's low too). The recoil is also a bit crazy. I use max stability and it does improve greatly but it still has a lot of kick to it for being a high rof scout. Snipers. Ohhhh boy my favorite weapon no matter the game! MAN I LOVE THESE THINGS. Even after the nerf they received to receive loads of flinch, I still managed to land shots under fire with Ice Breaker (a long ranged scoped sniper, larger zoom then the copperhead in D2). But with the copperhead I receive, not joking, 3x the flinch/stagger! I can't even land a body shot without getting lucky when under fire. This is the hardest to use weapon in destiny. Why give it this much flinch? Anyone who uses it and gets kills with it has skill, some even tremendous skill! Snipers are not over-powered for mindless players running down a hallway not thinking, and get sniped and cry nerf. (I know I'm getting off topic) Fusion Rifles, now I didn't hate them too much in D1, but these things can now 1 shot at close to almost long range with minimal skill required! (Like hanzo in overwatch 😝) In my opinion this is way to far! Shotguns didn't get scaled that much so why did fusions? Shotguns I think are in a perfect place! They feel great and don't seem under powered or over powered. The range is very balanced and it shouldn't be hard to counter them anymore. Grenade Launcher. Well it's about time! I've really only used this in PvE (which I think is the intention) and it is great for boss damage and add control! Arcstrider. Sound familiar? It should, the re-skinned bladedancer is here! I do like the changes however but it feels incredibly slow. I am easily, EASILY shutdown in any open position. Yes I've used the combos like the directional flipping with B but it's just not enough, if anything i think it makes me slower, but able to dodge projectiles like dawnblade. Dawnblade. I don't play warlocks much so don't think I'm saying this for me to have an advantage, but, the projectiles are far too slow. If someone has quick enough reflexes they can easily dodge half the super. So I think a small buff in their projectile speed would balance it out more. Sentinel. This is an amazing improvement! Fantastic! Captain Purple is now reality! I think it's pretty well balanced PvP wise but how effective in PvE? From what I've discovered there is an enormously long cool down on when you can throw the shield. I managed to get 2 throws out of it. So maybe there should be a bit of a buff there. And the ability to choose WoD and the Shield! WOW. I'm sure people are going to complain this is OP but I think it's unique and we will just have to find out later when the full game comes out. Golden Gun. I've always enjoyed golden gun. Pop pop pop (and 3 more now!) of easy kills making the super truly feel super! But the duration is so flipping short!! The moment you use it in crucible everybody just hides and then 2 seconds later your super is gone. 3ish seconds to shoot off 6 bullets, ehhhh I think 4.5 would be something interesting to try. Fist of Panic (haha see what I did there?) ok jokes aside I like this revamped super is a great step in the right direction. But it feels too weak. As we all know sidearms got a huge nerf into the ground! But they are still semi decent if you land the shots. I say a kid super Fist of Havoc running toward me and shot him the melee'd once and he was dead and I lived. It's possible there was a mistake on his end but for a titan? There should definitely be a survivability buff there. Voidwaker. I still hate axion bolts... But I think this revamp is also fantastic! I won't go into a ton of detail but I think the new abilities the super receives and the grenades receive is quite interesting Power Ammo. Honestly, the dumbest thing in D2. One person gets the ammo... I am standing RIGHT IN FRONT OF IT FOR 10 SECONDS BEFORE IT SPAWNS, hold X.... teammate comes up 2 seconds before it spawns and steals it. WHAT THE HECK BUBGIE. Don't turn ammo, let alone pvp, become RNG. Whoever has the better ping gets the ammo, this is stupid. Biggest mistake ever made. And we complained about Ice Breaker not keeping its ammo after we died in D1... Kinetic and Energy weapons. Ok so energy is for shields and kinetic is for health? PvP wise what do you want me to do? Use my energy weapon to kill their shield and switch to a kinetic for there health? So inconvenient. PvE wise, the same thing honestly. Maybe there will be a need for this in a raid or future strikes but once again, inconvenient. The content. WHERE IS IT. I know it's just a beta but only 1 control map, 1 countdown map, approximately 16 guns. I understand one strike, one story mission, but the weapons and maps? Bungie, you worry me that you have rushed your game again and will not be able to provide once again. If you need to prolong the game release to finish the game, please do so! It's better than playing and unfinished one. Some side notes: I keep running out of ammo in PvE. And I have 2 primary weapons... The new report system is pretty cool. I just hope you take action on those reports. Super slow ability charge time and even slower super charge time. A maximum of 2 supers a game. In countdown there is no timer, why? Thanks for reading. Have fun in the beta and anyone who UpVoted, thank you!
this post is in my honest opinion, I do not favor any weapon, ability, class, or subclass.
-Covality 😇
