Not concerning at all. If you don't pay for the content you don't get to play it. As far as not minding paying for DLC, are you expecting it to be free? I'm confused by that part specifically because honestly if someone is a fan of the game and enjoying it of course they don't mind paying for DLC. If I buy D2, which I'm still undecided on, and I like it then I'll probably buy the DLC too.

I was originally expecting it to not interfere with those that did not buy the dlc, not it being free. What if you cannot afford it, is it fair that those without money at the time do not get to reach max light or play Year 2 crucible maps? That is what I meant.

If you remember back in year 1, initially it didn't completely interfere if you didn't purchase the DLC. You had access to the playlists but if the strike or mission selected that week was from the DLC you just couldn't play for that week. I mean, it sucks if someone can't afford to get it and I'm not happy people are getting less or anything but I do believe it is fair. I've always viewed it a little differently than a good chunk of these forums have in that the Nightfall, Heroic, Iron Banner and so on are all playlists and not content in my view. The content is the strike that is selected for that week so losing access when new DLC drops makes sense because you don't have access to the content that will be featured in the playlist. And since you can't get to max light without the latest DLC there really isn't a reason to even play those playlists as their purpose is mainly for reaching max light.

What of the casual and competetive PVP players who do not have the dlc? They may not be trying to reach max light but just enjoy that side of Destiny. Light levels, it seems, are raised when a dlc is released as to influence players to purchase that dlc. It is not fair to those that did not buy it to be locked out of content they previously had access to.
