Bumped, everyone else should bump to. However, instead of just raid armor it should be pvp and other sets of armor that gives bonuses. Ex: iron banner gear will have bonuses that give increased armor when taking a zone or something else useful in the crucible even if it's not iron banner. Trials gear grants increased agility after a revive and increased precision damage when you're the last man standing, which would be helpful in nightfall and trials. Also exotic gear would need to have better perks to have players actually need to choose to go with the full set perks or the one op perk this exotic grants.

  • Giving combat bonuses to PvP, likely earned at the Lighthouse, would cause an uproar and rightly so. There's a reason why I didn't mention Crucible. Consider your idea for a moment: If people who regularly run Trials would have an immense advantage within the first week, ruining Crucible due to many players in the community not having access to those bonuses. With raids, everybody has much greater access to the bonuses and the bonuses do not inhibit other players' performance. Having extra damage against a PvE enemy isn't going to be "overpowered" when paired up with some randoms missing raid gear in Heroic Strikes. However, being put in a PvP lobby against players with combat advantages that will place a handicap on the opponent's ability to perform in the game. Imagine going up against a team of 6 Lighthouse-boosted players in IB or attempting a Lighthouse run and hitting set-boosted teams as early as game 2 or 3.... Yeah, why set bonuses have no place in competitive content.
