I feel that I should preface this by saying that I have never obtained the Mythoclast, so my opinion on it may be a bit... wrong, but feel free to give your own opinion. Let's get started. So, you've just completed the hardest activity in the game, and after about 13 straight weeks of raiding with all three characters, you finally get it. The Crux of Crota. The soul of the Devourer of Moons in the palm of your hand. And after about 7.5 billion years of farming for the Husk of the Unholy RNG you finally have Necrochasm. Behold, FateBringer but with a timed, much smaller explosion! Necrochasm has literally zero reason to be used outside of just [REDACTED]ing around. No reason to use it inside of the Crota encounter, no reason to use it outside of Crota. And it's pretty much the same deal for Mythoclast, it's basically an auto rifle with bullet travel speed... which is not a good thing to have on a primary weapon. Outbreak Prime is pretty good actually... just give it some kind of burn and you're good to go. Decent inside of the raid, and outside of the raid. Touch of Malice is my favourite weapon in the game, and is downright intentionally OverPowered for the Oryx encounter in Kings Fall. On top of that, when I heard that it was getting an ornament I was [REDACTED] buckets. I've recently had the pleasure of taking the gun into the crucible (ignore my K/D, I'm the bees knees). I can describe the feeling of using the weapon anywhere outside of the Oryx encounter, as lightly as possible, as trying to give yourself a cicumsition... with a rusted spoon. I should be able to insert the fear of gods and death into my enemies Black Hearts and Mind Fluid, but instead all I give them are postmortem medals. It doesn't help that I have to keep an eye on my health, ammo count, and etcetera. The fact that the kick doesn't reset on the weapon is just...why? God forbid you're being shot at while firing the last bullet because your screen is going to kick higher and harder than a horse having a prostate exam. I mean, if elemental primaries are coming back anyways then why shouldn't I be able to feel like the Destroyer of Worlds in PvE with all of my extremely hard earned raid weapons? "But imanXX123!!! If they become even more powerful people will demand that everyone have them and be 400 light plus!" To you people I say that people who "just want to complete the raid in a timely fashion" *cough*Douchebags*cough* have always existed, and will never stop there ways. You won't see me demanding that you have ToM or Dark Drinker for Oryx or Aksis respectively, so it's not like it's that hard anyways. (seriously guys, it's not). Whether or not someone has a weapon or actually completed an encounter is not an indication of skill, give them a chance. This concludes my rant. Feel free to voice your opinion in the comments as well. P.S. Ignore my grammar, it gets bad when I'm really passionate about something.
