I have no idea what happened. I've tried everything to fix this problem, my ISP has even replaced the wiring from the pole to my house, and I still have this issue.
I consider myself a little better than the average person with tech/networking stuff like this, and I refuse to play a game with a bad connection because I know how bad it sucks to play against.
I randomly have gone from always having full green ping everyday, to having red/yellow ping every game..
This only happens in Destiny, and I haven't had a problem with my connections in games for years.
About my connection/what I've tried:
75/15 Comcast (I would blame them if it was every game, or didn't JUST start happening)
Static IP
Wired
DMZ'd
QoS'd my MAC and LAN port of my PS4
I turned off my wifi (but have tried using it with both PS4s anyway)
Both PS4, and PS4 pro have this problem
Tried different routers and modems

3 RepliesI currently have the same problem. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/218209390/0/0 Comcast says there's a network update in my area as they are deploying Gigabit Internet in my area. As such, several nodes along my data route are being replaced one by one. They said give it another week.

3 RepliesEdited by MrOmny: 12/9/2016 4:48:29 AMI'm having a very similar issue. I've never been the one with a red or yellow ping in iron banner or in crucible. This time around I'm stuck at red bar or yellow. Every action I do is delayed. I've checked my connection. I've reset my router and modem. I don't have anything downloading. No one is using wifi. Nothing has changed on my end. It has to be with the game itself. I've tried everything and I can't seem to fix it. I like this game a lot but recently it's been incredibly frustrating playing every match with a disadvantage. I'm also wired directly. Not using wifi.

If you have a PC get a Gigabyte Motherboard and have it attached to Port 1 of your router. Then go and install cFosSpeed on your motherboards OS,and then configure it to Ping. Just leave it on whilst you play on your devices and you shouldn't have a problem as the software will constantly be Pinging away in the background improving your connection. It generally works wonders. By Pinging your ISP's server continually, you know your problems with contention will just disappear as there's no way your ISP will have to check to see if your still there. The software will be saying "I'm here" something like a 1000 times a second. Kind regards Richard

May be an issue for Tier3 support to investigate. Sometimes they may be referred to as Engineering. This is an upper tier that deals with upstream issues and are the ones with authority to escalate things up the chain... even to their third party peering partners. If you have been dealing with guys basically just looking at your more localised stuff, you likely have not been dealing with this level of support yet. These guys have the resources to watch your data as you play and determine if there may be an issue with your routes going through someone like Level3 or XO.net that may be running into congestion or other issues---and then put things in motion to do something about it.
