I'm a solo player having trouble with rift - what are some strategies for securing the spark? Looking for some helpful suggestions so that I can contribute more to my team. Thanks Guardians.

1 ReplyUmm, you go up to the shiny place at the middle and hold square, or whatever button you use to slam aksis on XBOX, and then hop like a mother-blam!-er towards the enemy spawn. You will get killed before you get there, and you'll get some points. Rinse and repeat. If by some chance you actually get to the enemy spawn, run to the black hole and hold square again. You will get points and then probably die.

1 ReplyIf you get the spark and no one is around, run back to spawn and regroup. Also if heavy is about to spawn, grab the spark and wait with team for heavy.

1 ReplyIt's all in timing, and hold down the spark location

1 ReplyThe Biological need to reproduce is strong in humans. Whenever you get the Spark, give yourself a tug. This will increase your motivation. I hardly have to wait in line at McDonalds anymore.

1 ReplyEveryone has their part to play in rift, not everyone should be focused on picking up the spark. As a "hunter main", I just slay let my fellow titans/warlocks pick it up and if it is picked up there's usually a stormcaller who is also slaying waiting for that moment to pop his/her super and I trailer behind them. If your not actually good with the movements of your subclass, and gun skill. Don't pick up the spark. You're welcome, guardian.

1 ReplyHold the spark and push with super when someone picks it up, sit in their spawn after detonating, stop them getting out and repeat.

1 ReplyFind a group of people to fire team up with. Haha. Rift is brutal as a solo player. Rift is all about center map control and controlling the area that the spark spawns as a team and winning your gunfights there. Once you do that you can keep the other team pushed back in their spawn and it makes life a lot easier.

1 ReplySomeone should always be stirring the pot at the enemy rift. Try leading the enemies away who are guarding and if you can, kill them. You can even flank the enemies watching the spark that way, they won't be expecting you coming from their own rift. Hopefully a team-mate notices your move and begins to rotate towards the enemy rift so that you can clean up, grab the spark and b-line the enemy rift. If you can't get the spark throw a trip-mine or better yet a longer lasting grenade on it like a vortex or pulse. A vortex nova bomb works too.
