It was bad before they nerfed the range now you have to barrel stuff them to do decent damage. 3 dot would be fine to be honest 2 isn't bad either but the fact that you need 4 body shots and burn to kill a max armor titan/warlock is kinda stupid. Sometime it doesn't even kill them if they have any sort of buff. Even the slightest amount of oversheild and they can live through it. And because of ghost bullets sometimes you only get burn damage.

Is this really a thing?! If it is, things are much worse than I could ever imagine.
I 1v1 my friend yesterday and the second bullet I shot didn't do anything but burn damage. I recorded it to check and I was pretty pissed off that bungie is still blaming this on "accuracy"
it was an xbox "record that" and I have no idea how to link it to this but yeah it's pretty bad
This statement shows just how broken hand cannons are (actually all short range weapons, just HC's are the worst). If you didn't hit your opponent how are you doing DOT? So you obviously did hit them but didn't get the Kinetic damage. So basically Bungie's Bloom effect is complete BS, we land our shots and Bungie RND's them into phantom rounds based on some BS algorithm. It's seriously ruining the game, either you hit people or you don't. 1 and 0's Bungie... "maybe" doesn't work for this stuff it just pisses people off.
