WHINER!!
Jk, I agree wholeheartedly. Y1 thorn wasn't that great (or I just sucked with it) Y2 thorn was kinda trash. And now Y3 thorn sounds like it's going to be as effective as throwing a lukewarm potato at an enemy in the crucible.

Luke warm potato could use a nerf.

Bruah hah hah ha ha. That, my friend is possibly the funniest response I've ever read on a thread. Well played sir. Your wit and creativity is matched by none.

wut? Vanilla Thorn wasn't a big deal but HoW-era Thorn was stupid OP.
-
Yeah I probably just sucked with it in HoW

Y1 Thorn didn't become really great until the general buff for Hand-Cannons came with Dark Below, and Thorn, itself, got a general buff to its impact and its DoT. After that, Thorn became a terror. 2 Shots to the head were a guaranteed kill with DoT. Even 2 to the body with DoT was 90% chance of Death, because chances were, you ran into someone else who'd finish you off before Health could start to regen. You'd be poisoned for a good 8 pulses. The Postmortem kills you'd get were ridiculous. One to the Head and one to the Body could also kill you. I admit, great as it was, it was way OP. Bungie was right to Nerf it then, around the time HoW DLC was released. Then it was 3 to the head and you were 100% guaranteed done. 2 to the head, 1 to the body, you were pretty much dead. But during Dark Below, I know some people would hear those, "CRAK-CRAK-CRAK" shots from anywhere on the map, and opt to leave the match because it was such a frustrating problem to play against. But then, after HoW, they nerfed it again... And again... And again... I think Thorn has been Nerf'd, or as Bungie likes to call it, "Balanced," more times than just about any other individual-weapon in all of Destiny.

I think shotties come pretty close.

Thorn had a bigger buff than that in yr1, the original had a slower RoF, 6 round cylinder, an atrocious reload speed & a stability buff
-
Yeah. Wasn't until Dark Below/House of Wolves where it got the 9-Chamber and the faster reload, and the range/accuracy buff. And the DoT got its buff to 8 pulses (second only to a Viking-Funeral Sunsinger at the time) of Poison-Burn.
