Idk, having hand cannons kill full speed at their max range would be over powering to autos and many other ahorter range weapons. I agree the bloom is annoying but in pvp it's needed right now. Pve no clue why on earth it's there..... Seriously what's the point? Minions of the darkness have -blam!-ing raid bosses and our weapons don't even shoot straight

Kill at full speed at their max range? the current only competitive hand cannons have a kill time of 0.86, range won't increase that. high RoF pulse rifles are at 0.83, and can achieve that from further away and are not as penalized for a misssed burst due to the RoF. Grasp of Malok takes that even more extreme, while not quite as far as the next step up in terms of range but still beat even current high range hand cannons in terms of range... but can achieve a TTK of 0.8 and is even less penalized than the catagory above. So what exactly is overpowered about hand cannons? it's not kill time. Shouldn't the closer you have to be to your target, the better the TTK is? not the reverse? Right now HC's do not beat out Pulse Rifles, through and through, and are at best competitive if you are close enough, then steeply fall off. What they should do is bring it's accuracy up to a point that just meets it's effective range (where it begins to suffer damage falloff). At the absolute BEST that's just about 100 feat (we're talking at least two range boosting perks on a hand cannon with an already high base range). That's at it's best in pulse rifle territory with a mediocre range stat. Because right now you can suffer falloff well before you even get close to the weapons maximum effective range.

Pretty sure.....I've seen your gamertag around the forums before. Oh well. Yes you are right in both cases. I do make the argument later on that nerfing the damage fall off on range would be an acceptable compensation for bumping accuracy up. My main thrust is that buffing range is silly if the gun don't shoot straight, and that in order for hand cannons to be satisfying, they have to be accurate. Nerf anything else, don't nerf accuracy. Hopefully that made sense.

I do see that, and yea I spend a lot of time on the forums. I remember when you could snipe the hobs with nearly no falloff in the vault with fatebringer
