One must have 2 things; imagination, and the ability to make said imagination in words. With those 2 tools, one can create just about anything. Knowledge of the subjects and lore helps, but one doesn't need to know all to write some.
Right now I have little time on my hands since I started working again a few months ago. Spurts of inspiration don't come as often as they used to, and I find myself sleeping away most of my free time.
As for what I saw there, it looks like there is already something of interest to read. It just needs a few more passages like the first to start to flesh out the world(or universe). Then the ball will pick up speed, and the rest should come a bit more easily.
Never be afraid to change things or even scrap them until you find a better use for them. Not everything fits every story, and some bits are better off in other stories anyways.
Final note, any grammar or spelling errors can be ironed out later on, so it is best not to get too stuck on those kinds of things. As long as you know what you meant to say and fix it afterwards it's fine.
