Too bad I'm on PS4, or I'd join you for a raid. Nope, not a raider here, but it's hard to find people willing to help out others that doesn't do it on a daily basis. Regarding pvp, I'm not a fan either, but IB is the only pvp activity I enjoy... because of the "imbalance". I like that my gear influences the overall outcome of damage and defense, and not be a constant "2-3 hits" kind if thing like in regular crucible. I've been around this whole time, I've seen bad and good stuff come and go. My main complaint is that the devs are focusing too much in the pvp aspect of the game, and that, imo (which is based in the game's original idea), was a very bad choice of direction. But in general, it's still a fun game to play. Nice post, it's good to see constructive feedback without hate here in the forums.

The focus on PvP has been there from the beginning of Destiny. A lot of the changes and tweaks made early on were really focused on PvP. It was one of the big reasons I didn't continue playing into the first DLC. I saw Bungie taking its focus off of the PvE side of the game and really putting their eggs into the PvP basket. I understand it to a degree, console players do not sit for as long at their machines as PC players do and as such the more traditional MMO elements are not going to be present. Still as Year 2 draws near an end there has been one patrol area added. Earth, the Moon, Mars, Venus, are largely the same places with the addition of the pseudo-random Taken spawns. In the end there are only three games that truly afford consoel players the MMO-esque social layer of a game like WoW. Destiny, Division, and ESO. ESO was a dumpster fire during its Beta and lost my interest forever. I also tend to prefer to play high fantasy RPGs solo. Division is going to eventually be a good game if it doesn't blow itself up first. It is having the same year one growing pains that Destiny did. The difference there is I saw things moving in the right direction much earlier and kept my oar in the water to keep going. Still I have hit the gear cap there and the open world of Division is far less entertaining than Destiny's. I have hope for Destiny's future. I am trying to put together a group of people to run with again and get to the point where the remaining end game activities that I cannot do yet will eventually open. Still, as for PvP, I was forced in there last night on the refer a friend quest series and it was painful. I am Padawan to one friend but also Sherpa to another on that quest line and getting a win in Control was just a reminder of why I really do not enjoy PvP. Thanks for the like and the words, I always try to keep discourse civil and constructive.

  • Yeah, I know what you mean, I have ESO on my PC, but personally, I prefer gaming on consoles, generally it's a smoother experience. I do have hope for Destiny too, that's one of the reasons I keep playing. Got my wife to play it a few weeks ago and she is loving it, after a long time never touching the game. But as she's new to fps (that's why she didn't play till now), she only patrols and I do the harder missions to get better gear. But it's nice to see people discovering the game. I did part of that quest, but the guy I was doing it bailed out without we doing a Nightfall together....so never got that Sparrow.

  • Me and my Sherpa friend are there on the Nightfall quest, hitting that as soon as I can Raid for better gear. My Padawan friend has about 8 level to go before he is 40.
