How did you manage to get both fireteams in the same lobby?
English

Have the leaders as geographically close as possible and launch at the same time

Yep that's how sweats are done

That might seem logical, but it really isn't. 2 devices within the same IP, can actually be routed through a whole other continent or state before ending up at Bungies servers. They might even connect to different Bungie gateways, so their ping could differ a great deal. Ofc, that's not always the case, but there's no guaranties they would have a better chance of teaming up. The ones that you constantly team up with in the tower/patrol, is the ones you want as fireteam leader on the opposite team, when you are leader of your team. If IB and/or Osiris is active, there's usually less people playing classics. If classic rumble is available at that time, it works most of the time

Then you would be the obvious fireteam leaders on opposite teams. Make a party of six, split up and both hit ready as accurate as you can. I wouldnt say that you pull out if teamed up against randoms, cause that's really a dick-move, but that's for you to decide ;)
