The nerf was warranted though because no Gunslinger in their right mind would use anything but tripmines. They were just so damn good. At least now the seekers will actually be pretty good. Think a solar version of scatter grenades.

  • This is the dumbest thing I have ever read. Let's nerf the one actual effective grenade so that these shit other grenades look better. Hey give me you're BMW so I can f@ck it up for you. Don't worry though that Pinto in the garage will be just as good when I am done.

  • That isn't what I said and that isn't what the update is doing. Another straw man argument that isn't the issue we're talking about. There will now be 2 choices for viable grenades for gunslingers. Tripmines are still going to be very good, just not ultra effective. Period. Sorry your crutch is being nerfed.

  • Crutch? Please when I did run Hunter is was normally Arc Blade. They nerfed the damage and since they don't even detonate when walked over they will be even less effective now. So what I said does apply. It's how Bungie has approached this has assed form of balance from the very beginning. Based on your statement I take it you're a PvP cry baby so no point in discussing this further.

  • No, the point is that they are trying to find a way so that we actually have a legit choice in what grenades we use.

  • That makes very little sense to me. The likely reason people used Trip Mines is because with the Akmarah Spine, which is the only Piece of Armour that gives a Hunter 2 grenades. Had Bungie looked at what grenade and what armor people were using in combination, then they would have realized that this combination is the only way for a Hunter to have 2 grenades. Had they given this any thought and consideration for Hunters versus other Class abiltites, they could have change the Spine to hold 2 of any Grenade types (Arc, Solar or Void) and then that would diversify the playing field and not have handicapped Hunters. Both Titans and Warlocks have one or more pieces of armor with this ability (Warlocks have 3 of them actually). And I'm okay with the reduction in Trip mine damage, but not if they remove Sticky ability too.
