The big announcements to watch out for will of course be the much rumored upgraded consoles. This is going to require one helluva masterful announcement as no one seems to be asking for incremental console upgrades. Nintendo won't have anything besides Zelda. I will not be surprised if Zelda is lacklustre. Zelda has been out Zelda'd by better developers. Dark Souls and The Witcher are the Zelda's we've been dreaming about. Watch as Nintendo gives an out of touch presentation on how much of an achievement it is that this Zelda has an open world where you can go to the areas you see in the distance. After Sony's wishlist delivery of E3 announcements last year I have a hard time seeing them, or anyone, match the magnitude and amount of bombshells dropped. Big game announcements that I think we could see: - Rockstar announces a new Red Dead and/or resurrects Agent - Crash Bandicoot announcement - Bloodborne 2 - Spiderman goes Playstation exclusive - New Wolfenstein - Resident Evil 7 - New God of War - New Batman game - A Gwent game from CDPR I think Microsoft needs to drop some megaton announcements. I still think they continue to lose the hearts and minds war. With Nintendo in disarray and Sony probably unable to repeat such an incredible conference two years in a row I think it's their chance to shine.

  • It's pretty obvious who the Playstation only player is. Naughty Dog WILL NOT show off Crash Bandicoot. They didn't even want to make U4 but Sony wanted money. They have released a new IP each gen and I think they will tease their new one at E3. If Sony does as horribly as they did at last E3 then Microsoft won't have an issue. Microsoft's last year was packed with TONS of games and Sony's was lame with lots of breaks and random "Sony TV" things. They need to step up their game from last year.

  • Your post reads like it's from such a salty fanboy. Is your post a joke? In regards to a potential Crash Bandicoot there are a couple possibilities: 1) It's not being made by Naughty Dog. 2) It's a smaller Naughty Dog project. I don't know why you think Naughty Dog didn't want to make Uncharted 4. Please give us all your source on that one.

I have both consoles and both Sony and Microsoft have the potential to entertain me equally. That being said, last years E3 was interesting. Sony had a few monumental show offs and Microsoft had a ton of big show offs. I was on the edge of my seat to see what game came up next on the screen during Microsoft's conference and I had the same feeling at the beginning of Sony's but it soon lost momentum with only a few games (FF7, Last Guardian, Shemnue) to keep it afloat. On the Crash Bandicoot/Naughty Dog topic, you are right, it could be a small project or another dev. I do not have a source for this as it is my hypothesis but if you look at the last gens: Crash on PS1, Jak and Dexter on PS2, Uncharted on PS3 and another Uncharted on PS4? It just doesn't follow suit. They did release TLOU last gen so maybe that was their way of saying we are done with a new IP every gen but I still need more evidence to drop it. Sorry if I came across as a bit edgy last time.

Why would you need evidence to drop it? Studios change. There is no law that states Naughty Dog can only focus on one IP per generation. All because they did four Crash games for PS1 and four Jak games for PS2? They didn't do that on PS3. In fact I guarantee you there will be a TLoU 2 for PS4. It'll probably be their next game. That game was a huge success. I've been watching these E3 keynotes long enough to tell you that Sony's 2015 conference was one for the record books. Besides the monumental announcements of Shenmue III, FF VII R, and TLG they were still announcing new games and showing off existing ones. There's a reason people are still talking about Sony's E3 keynote last year. How often do you see Microsoft's E3 keynote mentioned?

You're that it isn't set in stone. I just need to see them not show off a new IP one more time to believe it. I agree that both Xbox and Sony showed off huge things. Again, Sony showed off a few games but they were monumentally huge. Microsoft didn't have any "WHOLLYSHITWHATTHE-blam!-SERIOUSLY?" moments but they did show more games. The issue for me was that all of the huge Sony announcements aren't coming out for years. Microsoft showed off Recore (launches this year), Crackdown 3 (launches this year), they showed the first H5 gameplay (launched last year), Scalebound gameplay (next year), Forza 6 (launched last year), ROTTR (launched last year), and a few others I am forgetting. I understand where you are coming from, but the sheer amount that Microsoft showed off just overpowered Sony's huge announcements for me.
