Still the Most OP Subclass in the game, Probably

In my opinion it is still probably the most OP subclass. Due mainly to the teleport. Seems to cover way too much distance, add that with the double lighting chain and it's insane. What do you guys think?

  • Really? My GG still drops them mid-trance. My sniper still drops them mid-trance. My Truth still drops them mid-trance. My AB still slices them up mid-trance. My arrows nullify their super mid-trance. My tripmines still kill them mid-trance. My Hawksaw still wrecks them mid-trance. I have found a lot of ways to deal with Stormcallers, and I am just a filthy casual. Why haven't you?

            • How about instead of wah wah nerf this, find a way to counter it. There is no reason to go around nerfing everything just because it kills you. We might as well just turn Destiny into a pillow-fight simulator if that was the case.

                You guys whine way too much. It's super easy beating a stormtrance. Here's my strategy. Get two titans with bubbles, one blessings and one weapons. Shoot him with a hunter tether and make sure you damage him with a fireteam of 6 with black spindles and touch of malice as much as you can as quickly as possible, try to get precision shots to get the whitenail Perk or you might just ultimately fail. That's it, super quick and easy, only takes a little bit of skill.

              • It's not op. I kill them often with shotguns or snipers. Even just primary fire can take them down

                In order to fix Stormtrance, this is what Bungie should do: 1. Take away the Ionic Blink, 2. Take away the chaining ability, 3. Reduce the range to that of a titan melee, 4. Reduce the duration to 4.63 seconds long, 5. Make it so you are given a DoT effect when you activate it, 6. Restrict movement so that the player is unable to jump or sprint, 7. Nerf the armour (armor for Americans), 8. Nerf fusion rifles, 9. Nerf fusion grenades, 10. Buff Thorn. I main a warlock so I am correct and nobody can disagree with me.

                • The thing I see happening the most with stormtrance is that people try to get close to it. Stay back a little and it's one of the easiest supers to kill.

                    "The fact that you can teleport with it" - Stopped right here 30% - 40% of Stormcallers actually use it.(Ideal) Why? 1) It takes away from the super. 2) It takes skill to use. Sorry kid, but I've seen the stats and the most overpowered subclass as of now are Strikers, Gunslingers, and Bladedancers.

                    • Changes I would love to have are: Return the base duration of Stormtrance back to its original state, then change Transcendence into a perk that sacrifices your grenade and melee charge, as well as 3 seconds of the duration, for increased damage and movement speed during Stormtrance. Change Landfall into an AoE attack, like Showstopper, that calls down a lightning storm, like a wider range version of Storm Grenade, around you that can chain to other nearby enemies when it hits. Like Showstopper and Ionic Blink, it'll drain a bit of the duration with each use. Finally, give Electrostatic Mind the ability to reduce the amount of energy Landfall and Ionic Blink consumes. Or better yet, give that ability to the Impossible Machines.

                      • Storm trance is fine as long as your team are not pussies. 3 shot gunners can shut him down

                      • They should buff Stormtrance so that it chains to all opponents regardless of distance or map position. Players still in orbit should also be affected.

                        • If you have even spent a dau with a fully upgraded stormcaller, you'd know that you can't have both superconductor and ionic blink on at the same time. And if you think that it covers too much ground you should try a bladedancers blink. It doesn't take away from the super and it goes farther. Please educate yourself before calling for nerfs.

                            • I always laugh at stormcallers who don't use ionic blink in PvP. Way to easy to headshot them with my 1kYS. Boom. Roasted.

                                Nope, golden gun in mayhem is op. I played a match with me being the only warlock in both teams. Im traumatized because Ive never seen so many golden guns in one match. My whole team and the whole enemy teams were using golden gun with the exotic that grants another shot. It was not fun. As for your problem I feel its not the super your problem but the spawns that bungie made. I have died by the same golden gun user 3 times in a row.
