Psh. Who needs a gun license when you can buy C02 cartridges for a BB gun?
English

You must not live in the US.
-
I do.
-
Then you don't need a license.
-
I would need a spare arm and leg to afford an AR though.
-
You can get a cheep AR for 5 or 6 hundred dollars.
-
Holy shit...Would it be pre-owned/used/refurbished or new?
-
You can find new rifles for around 600... They aren't going to necessarily be as "Tacticool" as mine is, but with a little work you can make them look nice.
-
Well what should I expect from a "tacticooless" rifle? Like, how plain/bare/shoddy would it look?

Edited by TheNobleWolf: 5/13/2016 7:46:28 PMPretty much this... You can Chang out the stock, grip, and hand guard sometime down the road though... But you definitely want something with a rail on the upper receiver. I would look into either a DPMS/Panther Arms Oracle (as pictured above) or maybe a Bushmaster XM15... You also might be able to find a Colt CE1000 or a S&W M&P15 for under or around $700.00.

That actually doesn't look half as bad as I expected. Like I was thinking something out of World War II. Still a tad bit pricey but significantly less than what I was expecting.
-
If you can spring $1,000 then you might consider going for a Diamondback DB15. It's a good mix of entry level and customizable.
Still a tad bit pricey but significantly less than what I was expecting.
Sorry about that... DPMS jacked up their prices on me from a couple of years ago. The pricing on the other ones should still be accurate though.
