I've been playing Voidwalker since the start of Destiny. The majority of these Voidwalkers are only jumping on the bandwagon because of the buff, energy drain was fine as it was before.
However the best exotics for PvP Voidwalkers is between Nothing Manacles and Skull of Dire Ahamkara.
Nothing Manacles gives you a double charge for a deadly grenade which can double kill guardians if they are close enough. However you do have to invest in Embrace the Void and The Hunger to generate your grenades really quick. I recommend an Intellect and Discipline build. This set up is a good neutral game build.
Set up:
• Scatter Grenade
• Blink
• Vortex/Shatter/Lance
• The Hunger
• Embrace the Void
Skull of Dire Ahamkara is my Exotic of choice. It grants bonus armour whilst using Nova Bomb and it also grants The Hunger Perk. This allows you to invest in either bigger ability explosions or a tracking Nova Bomb. The tracking is pretty substantial too. The bonus armour provided by Angry Magic allows you to survive Tripmine Grenades, if you go for a max armour build.
Set up:
• Axion Bolt
• Blink
• Vortex/Shatter/Lance
• Angry Magic
• Embrace the Void

For scatter, The Hunger instead of Annihilate?
-
When you are using Nothing Manacles because that increased charge rate, with Energy Drain, is too good to not take advantage of it.
-
Thanks. Playing around with the Voidlock, will switch to the Hunger :-)

If you find your grenades aren't killing enough, switch it to Annihilate. The bonus from Embrace the Void is still substantial enough to recharge your grenade. Plus increased blast radius with your scatter grenades is pretty good too.

Thanks man. Appreciate the tips!

If you need some more advice. Just DM my Bungie account and I'll be more than happy to help. It's good to see more people picking up Voidlocks.

Yea ur the third person who mentioned using skull and i got lucky it just dropped for me at 329 on hard oryx so ill definitely give it a go Thanks for the input

It's a nice helmet and that damage reduction is definetly noticeable. You can tank a hammer of Sol which does around 370 usually, I believe, but you need full health. Plus granting The Hunger skill tree perk is awesome. Nothing Manacles are good but you have to learn how to throw your grenades really well and learn a couple of choke points for them on every map. They are the only grenades, with the Nothing Manacles, that can kill someone from full health without them standing still. If you run Manacles, I would recommend a fast firing primary with Grenadier. A full Intellect and Discipline build.

Thanks for the advice... I think im leaning toward skull when using axion bolt and manacles when using scatter of course just need some practice with scatter

In a control match on The Drifter, I threw a scatter grenade while wearing the Manacles into one of the tight hallways, and got a quad kill on a clan of huntards. I didn't have enough time to bag each one thoroughly, though.
-
Yea i think scatter grenades have more potential in control matches...ive been trying to use them in this weeks iron banner clash and it feels harder to get kills

Yeah, getting a scatter on a few guardians trying to cap a flag is a surefire way to get a kill or two. Or if an enemy is in a corner. But sadly just gliding/jumping as you're hit by one seems to save you from dying.
