It works story wise though. We got Eris involved, and she knows better than anybody how dangerous the Taken and the Hive are. She'd never let us make an idiotic choice like keeping Malok jailed.

Yes this is a good point, but he has already imprisoned 4 powerful taken warriors, so why couldn't he capture him?

Malok is already deliberately manipulating the Blight. He's like Crota or Alak Hul, a suitable replacement for Oryx. The Taken warriors don't have the power to lead like he does.

I know what you're on about, but like I said in the next paragraph, they could at least make the boss fight tougher since many players are saying he's too easy. This is making it hard to believe that he is supposed to be this powerful leader. Especially since he dies quicker than most bosses.

Eh. Heroic strikes he's fairly difficult. I like to believe he's just starting on the path to power, so he's easier to kill.
