The other night I had a new weapon, and a new piece of armour. Start leveling them up with motes of light. After about 10 motes spent, the weapon had about 3 nodes ready for upgrade while the armour was only about a sixth of the way around the first node and I couldn't help but think that you can max a weapon for only a small cost in motes, but armour requires what seems to me to be a quite excessive amount.
Some might say that since we swap weapons out more often than armour it makes sense for it to upgrade quicker, but at the same time it's the weapons that have the most gameplay affecting perks. After all, I've never seen people calling for a nerf to 'scout rifle loader' or the one where grenade kills recharge melee energy (or vice versa). In the end the passive buffs applied by armour pieces have a much more minimal effect on player effectiveness compared to weapon ones, so it just seems silly for armour perks to require so much more effort to unlock.
So this post is mostly about getting the per-mote experience gains for armour buffed to be more in line with the gains for weapons. Be sure to vote!

A fun is often shared by all three. It should take 3 times the experience to level a gun node as an armor node. But this it beside the point. If you stop donating all your motes, it wouldn't be a problem. It's a trade off. Faction rank, or armor upgrade. I horded motes from the time the update was announced. By Tuesday, I had nearly 1,400. I passed up faction rank for the ability to upgrade any piece of kit I want.

Bump. Another grind extending change that takes away fun. So bungie, all you have to do is take away the change and replace the fun. Simple.
