Anyone else think updates predominately for PVP should be separate from PVE so that the cry babies in PVP don't nerf our fun in PVE?
E.g. Special & Heavy Ammo? Mida's High Calibre rounds? Revives? Sniper Nerfs? Etc...

20 RepliesCountersigned. I think PvP and PvE shouldn't be separated.

I agree just nerf warlocks

3 RepliesYou do understand that in order to do this bungie would if to have two different severs runing and even have 2 separate computers runing each mode which they won't do.
-
4 RepliesWe asked for this already. They replied, "Your Guardian is your guardian" Meaning, "We don't know how to do that"

Definitely.

2 RepliesI want my gear to be exactly the same in every activity so I vote no. How about reseting everything back to vanilla specs when everything was powerful and telling anyone who complains to suck it up.

4 RepliesSeparating them would completely wreck the game! Can you imagine having a gun with two different sets of stats? I think the problem is pvp should be secondary to all pve decisions, but at the moment it seems to be the other way around. Eg the recent ammo update for pvp has made things a lot worse in pve

Signed Sick of seeing good pve guns and perks ruined because of PvP. Yes if forces people to change weapon set ups but alot of pve players change their weapons to fit the situation.

If only bumping this would make a difference

Shameless return bump

It's starting to feel like they're doing it on purpose to slowly force players into PvP to have anything to do. It could be that they've decided to do away with pvp altogether and have it be more like Titanfall where it's pvp only, even though we know that didn't work well and Titanfall 2 is going to have a single player campaign mandated by the publisher.

People don't seem to understand that a change of that magnitude is not something a 5-10 person live team can accomplish in a reasonable amount of time. We wont be seeing this in TTK. Chances are low that we'll even see it in the next expansion this year. More than likely we'll see it in Destiny 2 if they cared enough to implement it. They know players hate changes caused by PVP that negatively affect PVE. Put your damn pitchforks down and quit asking for the complete removal of PVP (not directed at OP). The only reasonable complaint about it right now is that they haven't been doing their part to offset the changes for PVE like they used to.

I think there can be a balance; take the PvE ammo nerd that you mentioned, they have shown they did this on purpose in the patch notes, where it states they reduced the ammo crucible heavy ammo boxes give in addition to the machine gun nerf. To put it simply, the could just have changed the value of ammo given by ammo boxes in PvP and left PvP alone. In addition, the can change how much a perk effects a guardian in PvP as oppose to a minion of the darkness (they have done this before, the touch of malice being the best example). They can even change how much damage a weapon does in PvP alone. The question I cannot answer is why they nerf the PvE experience.
