You gave players access to the best guns and then nerf them. You remove reforge but then give everyone access to the same weapons. Of course people are going to use them.
Conspiracy theory d Great perks and great gun. Over used because people can't get the roll and perks they want on other guns. You max the range and give it range finder - no other gun is likely to come close so your fault for taking reforge and other options.
1000 yard stare - Great all round sniper given to everyone. It was no different from the LDR but you didn't give LDR to every player and their mother. Capable of res sniping and good aim assist makes it a monster. A monster given to everyone. Of course it will be used.
Mida - not even considered an exotic in year one. Made epic by removing all the viable competitive options form mid range.
The guns never changed or been modded. It's been the same since year one. Players just need to hope they get a good scout rifle roll or join the heard.
Reforge GAVE variety - and at least we had different weapon choices.
I'm happy for the majority of changes but to nerf stuff because everyone uses it is in your court Bungie.
You gave everyone the best options and removed the rest of choice from players.
What did you think would happen?
Comment and maturely if possible!!

1 ReplyReforge isn't that good anyways. What's the difference if we all have different snipers but we all get ones that are good and hit off res and reforge it just for hidden hand. No point
-
Correct me if i'm wrong, but mida might be the First overused exotic which has been nerfed without ruining the rest of It's class. Like they did it with autorifles and hamdcannons for suros and thorn

4 RepliesEdited by A485258: 4/13/2016 5:43:38 AMWhile I agree with your sentiment. You are incorrect about Mida having been the same. Mida did not ship with high caliber rounds originally. It underperformed compared to other exotics and was later given HCR.

3 RepliesEdited by Level 2 on Easy: 4/11/2016 6:12:17 PMIf they would stop -blam!-ing worrying about the crucible and give us more hard and challenging PvE content, all the whiners and bitchers wouldn't have room to complain. I, for one, wish they'd make DLC separate packs. Have a PvP DLC, PvE dlc every other 1-2 months. That way they can dedicate one specific team to either playing field and players can choose what they want. I am a PvE guy, so I 'd only buy the PvE stuff. Examples: "Earth's Demise" - PvE DLC pack $20 USD 1 New exclusive raid on earth - Take on the Fallen and the Hive at the same time. Exclusive gear sets. Features 1 new gun of each type 3 new shaders 3 new emblems 2 new sparrows 2 new ships 1 new ghost an exclusive raid armor set 1 New exclusive strike - Take down a new threat that has come to settle the score with the Guardians and Hive alike! Features 1 new gun of each type 1 new strike specific emblem 1 new strike specific armor set 1 new strike specific ghost 3 New exclusive story missions. Commander Zavala has dire new intel that shows Fallen trying to break through the City wall! Stop them before its too late

Mida is now a BB gun, thanks ,Bungie. Do you ever think about the effort put into getting this stuff, only to have it nerf'd away in a stroke? Didn't think so.

2 RepliesOver used doesn't mean over powered

15 RepliesEdited by KannibalKlown: 4/10/2016 12:01:52 PMReforge took away variety Everyone was using the same handful of base guns, each with a similar God roll Stating otherwise means you're lying to yourself. Reforge was great in theory. "Do you love that gun but unhappy with its perks, you can fix that." Instead it became "use one of these guns with these perks, or get the f out". And no motivation to find or try other guns Seriously. The same 1 or 2 scouts with the same perks. Sniper rifles and shotguns, LOL I won't go there. Etc.

8 RepliesI can tell you right now, Hawkmoon will be nerfed again in an update after this one. Why? Because TLW is getting ruined in April and many TLW users will change to Hawkmoon making it the next "overused" weapon.
-
MIDA is only an exotic class in PvP in PvE it just doesn't give enough punch.
-
Well, if people like it, it needs to be nerfed
-
2 RepliesCon-D and 1000y stare are over used as they drop the most.
-
2 RepliesWell this is what u get when people bitch about RNG. They heard our cries and gave clear cut paths to weapons. Thank the community. RNG is best and will always be the best way to obtain gear hands down.
-
10 RepliesAs long as it's Bungie's philosophy that guns must work the same way in PvP and PvE we're waisting our time providing feedback in this area. They don't give a crap about our opinion on the separation of PvE and PvE Guardian.
-
1 ReplyYup. They only reason I think MiDA rose to prominence is because it's a good stagger against snipers which again most people are because Bungie gave them the best one. Stupid Bungie.

Its no issue, the fun.....and the part of the game that keeps it interesting is the constant flow of progression and change. I don't think I would be playing still if I was using the same weapons I had on day 1....that gets old and boring. Conspiracy TD.....I hardly use it, I know a lot of people rely on it for PVP but for me it seems to hang fire a lot. 1K is a good sniper and I have to admit I always thought it had to much ammo for the damage it dealt.....again it won't be an issue. Mida....people say they relied on the stagger but you can run HJ or some other high impact scout and kill most enemies in one or two shots....no need to stagger. Reforge I completely understand why it was taken away and have no issue with it being gone...in theory it was nice but resulted in everyone running the same weapon with the same roll, RNG hates me but its still fun to work and hunt for that perfect weapon and roll. In all .....as a mainly PVE player, I love the changes......but then again I tend to use everything in the game and rarely use the same 3 weapons on all 3 characters all the time like some.

I agree, especially on the 1000 Yard Stare. When there is only one other Sniper that has the same damage output that the 1000 Yard Stare has, and you give it out as a reward for beating TTK's quest line? What did they expect to happen, we turn a blind eye to it? Not only that, but I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who picked up the Vanguard Quartermaster's 1000 Yard Stare, with perks like those. And on the topic of Reforge, I liked it, but I also understand why they removed it. I wouldn't mind seeing Reforge coming back, especially for the Strike exclusive rewards like Treads, Imago and Does Not Bow. If Banshee would take his own form of currency for weapon reforging, like how Xur takes strange coins, I think they could pull it off. This would, at the very least, prevent people from camping Banshee until they got a god roll. But we wouldn't have these issues if they would stop nerfing popular weapons to be in line with the others, or if they would remove undesirable perks that, more often than not, hinder the weapon. But instead, buff the other weapons to be in line with the more popular ones.

The three weapons I never used . Funny

11 RepliesRegarding MIDA I'll have to see what's left of it in real time after 4.12 before I pass judgment. The way it is now, it's the one weapon that can be used to counter most situations, while simultaneously not dominating. We all know which weapons dominate at close, medium, and long range. It performs as you might expect from it's name sake "multi-tool." It's much needed in the mix because it's a constant among an endless stream of nerfs which constantly shifts the meta; thus, MIDA = the very definition of balance and therefore belongs. I think at least one steady but not dominant performer vs. most of the spectrum is a good thing for players to be able go to. MIDA might still be that gun, we'll see...... A lot of players confuse the number of weapons in circulation/use at any point in time with so-called "over powered" ability. See it again and again, and it's dam tiring. MIDA is popular and viable, but not the definitive answer in any particular range of engagement compared to the dominant weapons. *As a side, 1,000 yd is another example of this ^ perception problem. It's wildly popular with tons in circulation = tons of kills, but what other choices are there in the high impact sniper class at this point in time in yr 2? Very, very few. With snipers, it's more the play style that folks come on here and complain about = upcoming 4.12 nerf (which by the way will not stop you from being picked off frequently). I would think we've all seen enough in this game's evolution to realize that meta shifting is always going to be a part of what happens. Again, this is exactly why the game needs a reliable constant which in this case actually helps Bugie pull things to the center as a whole, which is going to occur whether any of us like it or not.

1 ReplyEdited by Twixism: 4/11/2016 3:18:18 AMThank you fellow player! I will make sure these only good weapons used is turned into wet noodles before the update!

How is TLW not on here?
-
5 RepliesReforge gave no variety, as its only purpose was to change "good" rolls into "god" rolls.
-
1 Reply1000yd and CT-D, yes. Overused and for good reason as the hand-out quest ones come with almost perfect set-ups. Mida, always felt it was overrated, and I find it a threat in good hands but nothing more than a "meh" in others. I'd say Terminus is overused, and I use it. Truth as well....but we all know why Truth is.

I see we have had an inspirational response from the guy who has whipped up the storm of comment. Normal people when subject to widespread adverse comment try to work out why and change not here, obviously still in denial (Everest ego in way?). There is so much you can do in a positive way if you would just listen and learn for once
-
If bungie keeps doing what they do and nerfing instead of buffing there is going to be a point when the weapons will do no damage #wtfbungie #fixitbungie

The easiest way to address balance is do the following: Unranked PVP - go in there with anything you want, nerf free including Yr1 Vex before it was clipped Ranked PVP - Only approved crucible/pvp weapons allowed. Weapons bought from vendors will specifically say whether a weapon can be brought into ranked play or not. This way there's no need to globally modify weapons not intended for PVP. Players can run with Vex, Necro etc in PVE and have fun without logging in one day and wondering why their loadout feels weaker than before.
