No, it was horrible. If you don't think weapon diversity is greater now than it was, you're simply insane and or delusional..
Hand cannons were stupidly over powered, as using anything else put you at a huge disadvantage. Now we have good choices for every weapon type.

Exactly. 6 is twice as many as year one on PS, and 3 times as many as Xbox.

No I've gotten killed by multiple snipers, shotguns, hand cannons, pulse rifles, few scouts, Now its 1-2 snipers 3 primaries, 1-2 Shotguns Just because your ass got destroyed by hand cannons doesn't mean they weren't the only weapons

I think hand canons got nerfed way too hard. The hawkmoon might as well be the chicken moon now, definetly not worth the exotic slot it occupies. They had the thorn right on the launch of destiny, but I feel it is overpowered after all the buffs it was given. 6 shots and a slow reload was right with the other perks it had. The only buff I age with was the dot increase in pve. Hand canons in general are dead in both pvp and pve. Only the last word is overused in pvp. It is horrible what they have done to the meta. Slow rate of fire weapons should always beat high rate of fire weapons if the player is accurate as it requires more skill imo. With high rate of fire weapons missing shots is more forgiving.
