Alright guys and girls, here is the deal, I have been posting of a few Trials Flawless Sherpa posts. I have a pretty high KD, a good medal score, and have been flawless almost 50 times. This attracted lots of people to reply to me.
I told them to all PM me and we could work out details, but after awhile I started getting hate messages from either "Elitists" or people who have tried and failed many times at Flawless. The messages said things like
"You're a scrub for doing carries, everyone needs to earn the Lighthouse with people on skill levels as themselves. If they have a 0.6, they play with maybe 0.8s and 0.7s. Stop doing carries, it's ruining trials"
Personally I think that everyone should have the chance to see the light of mercury at least once, no matter the skill level of the player.
What do you guys think of trials carries?
Discuss freely!
EDIT - If anyone wants to see mercury send GraffitiDrifter a friend request on Xbox One. I have about 50 lighthouse visits.

It should only be a place for people who deserved it. I rather like to lose against a full team of good players than against 2 good players and the one who gets carried. Thats the Problem.. to many people recieved the Emblem and went to the lighthouse. Because of people like you So the Emblem is worth nothing. Im not saying carrying people is a bad thing but there are so many people who are waiting for getting carried and dont even try it alone or try to improve themselves. Its not only Trials, its the whole game. And this sucks

2 RepliesSherpas don't carry. They teach map mechanics and General game mechanics in order to improve. Real Sherpa sites prohibit carries.

10 RepliesShould be an emblem reward for helping so many players go flawless or an exclusive shader you have my support for damn sure help those that need help you don't see me bashing players who haven't finished the raid yet hell I only require 290 ish level and a good sniper for your first normal raid my group can handle the rest. Good job helping others and hopefully Sherpas get rewarded with more than just a thank you later on
-
the idea itself is rather stupid. you give one guy a lighthouse run but ruin it for atleast 7 other groups of 3. Sherpas are the reason why sherpas feel needed to begin with.

1 ReplyThanks for offering to help players like me. I'm 72 and Destiny is my first and only video game. I've been playing over a year (I was a 2014 Xmas nube). I know I will never have the skill to compete in ToO. I never did Crota hard or finished the VOG or the Taken King. A group once took mr to Crota normal but didn't let me do anything but shoot my Gally at Crote at the end. Another group took me to the VOG and we had to break off just past the jumping puzzle (I still have that checkpoint on my Hunter). I went with a group to the Taken King Friday night but I had to quit to go put my father-in-law to bed (he's 93). So do I want to see the light of Mercury and the Tower. Absolutely! Unfortunately I'm on PS4 so you won't be taking me. But thanks for being generous and thoughtful. Keep on doing what you're doing. Many good people won't ever have the skills to get themselves there.

The lighthouse is the only place I've never been in destiny:( I'd be stoked to go there at least once during my time of playing this game.

1 ReplyEdited by dmcbert666: 2/8/2016 7:05:05 AMI've Lost my touch recently in gaming the only thing I'm good at personally helping people is always a good thing no matter what people say I don't much confidence anymore I help who I can and delete those who are selfish.
-
I know there are people out there like myself who are adamant that if we ever make it to the Lighthouse we have to have earned the right ourselves, but I also know that on the other hand there are just people who no matter how hard they try will just never be able to make it themselves and really need the help of the Sherpas so I'm all for you guys being out there.
-
I think if you have already gone flawless on a character that week you need to be placed in a sepreate lobby with others that have gone flawless that week
-
1 ReplyI carry people to the lighthouse just because destiny has nothing else to do at the moment
-
I think the scarab emblem is bad for people who have never gone flawless and are trying to.
-
What I don't understand is what I did to offend you drifter? You kick me from parties everytime I join my friend, its really not cool. I would love to play Destiny with you, but you just seem to kick me everytime
-
Right thing to do, people will always hate for no reason
-
It's people grinding out hate for you because they're mad that they simply lost to you. Every one of them is definitely going to deny it, but it's the truth. Such as is human nature. And it's the only reason.

Edited by Kάνναβις: 2/8/2016 5:04:09 AMThey have good intentions.. but ruin the overall point of ToO and the lighthouse. ToO is supposed to be competitive.. on top of showcasing some of the best players. Reaching the lighthouse use to mean something until this started going on. Players that play good teams all the way up to flawless have a right to feel cheated over this. You see some of the worse players now with the flawless emblem and it makes people who had 9 incredibly challenging matches to get the emblem feel cheated. I'm not bashing people being carried.. Hell I have carried a few players myself. Its just flawless and lighthouse don't mean much anymore.. especially with the LH chest rewards lacking this year.

4 RepliesWatch AoxGodz with me on Twitch! http://www.twitch.tv/AoxGodz Doing carries all day today. Subscribe, watch, and comment so you can be next carried to lighthouse. Most active follower will be carried first
-
1 ReplySo long as they aren't getting cash (or other types of payment) I don't see an issue. It would be like a friend doing it for his buddies.
-
There have been a few times where it was obvious someone was helping others. And those few times annoyed me so much. The lower levels would hang back in spawn while the one super high level rushed forward. Or they would all hide in one room guarding all the entrances.

Need 1 for lighthouse Will carry add zerazorex
-
Im in the middle, i think its good there are people out there who help members of community make it to the lighthouse when they struggle to do so. On the other hand i feel like getting taken to the lighthouse robs you of the feeling you get by achieving victory with a team of friends for the first time, whether it took a week or months. You will be happy, don't get me wrong but it wont be as satisfying. Getting better and knowing you got better and getting that 9-0 feels fantastic when you win with the right team, but i get where everyone is coming from in the end. Not enough time in the day, not good at pvp, it's there to take advantage of so "i take advantage of the sherpa". Etc... I guess im mixed. It's good and bad to me. it really doesnt do anything gamebreaking in the end but you dont get that feeling of accomplishemt.
-
They're good in my opinion. Highly skilled players giving back to "less skilled" players is always nice to see. I don't really care as long as people aren't cheating.

4 RepliesI would kill to go flawless...
