What are the implications?
For one, justice system not to do with punishment, but understanding and rehabiliation. I imagine quite easily the budget such a system would require if done ethically.
There are obviously many other dangerous (short to mid term problems) that touch on everything from class warfare to religion.

What about humans whose rehabilitation will cost more than any benefit they could ever have on society?

I watched a forum hosted by Noam Chomsky last year, and at the end someone asked him what he thought about free will. He sort of laughed them off, inferring it didn't matter because if we didn't have free will, what would happen? Likely either nothing or a really big thing.

Edited by Kody: 1/16/2016 5:15:04 PMI'm trying to think of specifics because I imagine (given individuality/diversity) that eqch case would/should require its own scenario. But yeah, that was my point. I'm not sure society would do do anything about it if the scientific community proved the absence of free will. People don't just drop their opinions and offer sacrifice in the name of solutions based on evidence (see the environment).
