They won't. Because Microsoft / Sony won't allow it.
It's possible to play Xbox with PS but they don't allow it. If they allowed it everyone could play together regardless of console

Your Bungie profile isn't owned by Sony or Microsoft and isn't hosted by either of those companies. It's all on Bungie to make that happen. Your Bungie profile is merely associated to your console account. But this doesn't happen and most likely never will because it probably wasn't something that they've considered including in their system architecture while creating it. Doing it now would just open a huge container of worms given that there are millions of accounts/profiles created already. So that would yield problems that they most likely have no interest at all in having to deal with, after all it's a win win scenario for them since people will end up buying the game plus expansions again and spend way more time with it redoing stuff than what they would if transferring (re-associating accounts) was an option.

What you said and what I replied two are two different topics bud.

You're talking about crossplay between platforms, that won't ever happen between Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony for obvious reasons. But what the OP was asking is for a way to transfer your Bungie profile that is associated to a Xbox account to a PSN account. And that is a Bungie issue.
They won't. Because Microsoft / Sony won't allow it. It's possible to play Xbox with PS but they don't allow it. If they allowed it everyone could play together regardless of console
Is what I responded to. Cross play will never happen bungie can allow people to change across platforms but playstation and bungie have an agreement that may say not to allow it. You are auguring a point you do not know full information about and you are arguing with me over something I did not say.

Edited by bluedice: 12/6/2015 4:21:39 AMFirst off I'm not arguing with anyone. All I'm saying that changing the Console account associated to the Bungie profile is technically possible but not viable or of their best interest for reasons that we both can only speculate. Will it ever happen? It may or may not, but technically it's possible and it is on Bungie's back to do it, not on Microsoft's nor on Sony's. If there are legal reasons or agreements in place is another story. Cross-play on the other hand it's a known fact that won't happen anytime soon if ever. Like you said would be like Burger King selling McDonalds hamburgers and vice-versa. So no need to get angry about it.

I am not anger bud but when you assume someone said something, not only is it rude, you bring up point that may be known to the individual. You know the saying about assuming right?
-
I hope you understand that I replied to your post without realizing that you were replying to Gos Volt or something where he was questioning something that is pretty obvious to both of us. So I read your first reply in the context of the OP question and replied accordingly and unfortunately out of the correct context. So no need to imply "asses" in this conversation. Cheers
-
So you butted into my conversation, changed topics, then want me to understand you meant something else? That is assuming a lot bud. I am not trying to make you feel bad or be a jerk but you in fact are talking about a completely different ideal them I am. Sure they are related but not the same issue. If you wanted to have a different conversation replay to the op and not my comment.

I don't want you to understand shit, I honestly want you to go to hell "bud". Self-righteous moron. Ta ta!
-
So you jump into a conversation talking about off topic issues then get mad when you realize you are wrong and insult people. I maybe self righteous but your a fool.

That's my point
