Yeah, because it was the gun. Think about why it really happens. If it's intentional, it's because the person is very mentally sick. If it's accidental it's because the gun owner was irresponsible. I've lived my entire life in the house with several guns. Believe it or not, when I was a child I never opened up the safe and shot my family because they were responsible about keeping those guns away from me. When I grew up I did not grab the keys to the safe and go on a shooting rampage. Pretty crazy because guns are soooo allegedly dangerous.
Get the liberal gun "control" propaganda out. And the people who support it, to. Preferably to some remote island.

Are you trying to argue that guns aren't dangerous? Because that's pretty outrageous.
-
Leave a gun sitting on a table and let me know how many people get shot. Put a gun in the hands of an idiot or a mentally unstable person, and I will tell you that I'm not surprised people get hurt. If you blame anything on the gun, you are stupid.
-
Someone hasn't played fallout
-
I actually haven't :P you are correct
-
:( those guns will shoot you of their own volition if you try to use the bathroom
-
sounds dangerous man
-
"Leave a running chainsaw on a table and let me know how many people it cut to pieces." The answer is obviously none, but that doesn't mean that it isn't a dangerous tool. I never blamed anything on the gun, so I'm not sure why you're even bringing it up.
-
If you were to use a chainsaw in the same effect I use my analogy, you'd just say a chainsaw; not a running one. Of course guns are dangerous. At no point did I say or suggest that people can't get shot/it doesn't hurt to get shot. If you ever thought that's what I meant you should work on your comprehension skills.

Edited by Flee: 11/21/2015 4:06:13 PMIf you somehow thought that was what I suggested, then I'm afraid you're the only one with severely lacking reading comprehension skills. I was simply referring to you literally saying "pretty crazy because guns are soooo allegedly dangerous", which was obvious sarcasm to illustrate that guns are nothing too dangerous. I'm glad you've seen the error in your post and have now come around to admit that guns are indeed very dangerous tools. Good talk.

Edited by The Racho: 11/21/2015 4:14:06 PM
Are you trying to argue that guns aren't dangerous?
There's the exact part you were suggesting that I didn't think guns are dangerous. And back to those comprehension skills you so desperately need lessons for, I will elaborate so your simple mind can understand, because you so clearly need it spelled out for you. When I sarcastically say "Guns are soo dangerous" in the context of that sentence, following the rest of my post I am talking about the gun itself. As long as a gun is left alone, it will not hurt anybody. Those who are either irresponsible, stupid (one in the same, really), mentally ill, a child, or a mix of any of these are the ones who are dangerous. A gun is a tool. Anything in this world can be dangerous, and it's people who make it dangerous, not the tool. Now that I've as plainly as I possibly could explained this incredibly basic concept, I expect you finally understand what I was saying.
Good talk.
Edited by Flee: 11/21/2015 4:34:02 PM
Anything in this world can be dangerous, and it's people who make it dangerous, not the tool.
Yet some tools are clearly inherently more dangerous than others, wouldn't you agree? Your condescending attitude is also a little misplaced, as you really aren't making many good points for yourself. My entire argument was that guns are very dangerous tools, to which you've now conceded after originally mocking those who said so by attacking an incredibly stupid straw man that somehow guns drive people to kill or go kill people on their own. In case you never actually talked to anyone who supports gun control, I'm glad to inform you that not a single sane person in the world thinks this. There's no need in getting bitchy and ruining this good talk. :)

How does something being more dangerous than another invalidate it at all? I never stated than guns did not have the ability to be dangerous. I've stated what makes them dangerous, more specifically to innocent people, is the types of people I have listed in previous post. That is the entire premise of what I'm saying. Water's wet, fukboi. I really thought I had that explanation on point, but I guess your low IQ score shines through at the end of the day. You still think that I was saying guns don't have the potential to be dangerous.. Can't fix stupid, as they say.
-
Lol this person always tries to debate with me, not the brightest. The points they make are horrible and never make any sense
-
I'm not surprised honestly. At this point I can't tell if they're a clever troll or a blithering idiot. The latter seems more likely.
-
Actually, people always blame that kimd of thing on mental illness, but mentally ill people are actually a lot less likely to do that kind of thing.
-
Depends on the illness. Either way, people use the fact that these shootings happen as propaganda to push gun control, which in all reality is actually gun centralization. Centralizing the guns away from the people and into the hands of criminals and the government. It's a dumb idea as a whole, really.
-
Pretty much. It's just that by pushing it onto mental illnesses, it creates stigma on people who have illnesses. I don't know much about gun control so i can't really speak about it
-
Edited by The Racho: 11/21/2015 11:40:00 AMWell generally when someone has a mental illness it can make them act irrationally. Yes, it creates a stigma, but it is true that pretty much the only people who would go out on a rampage are mentally ill people. And all you need to know about gun control is it disarms the people, and puts more power towards criminals and more importantly our government. If you let the government hold too much power, eventually someone will get into office that will abuse that power.. I hate to make the comparison but just look at Nazi Germany. They weren't so different from us beforehand. The government simply had too much power, and then the wrong person rose to a powerful position.
