When I went to walmart, and was interested in buying rat poison, I learned about a 2 year old who killed himself with it. I also learned about a 19 YO mother who poisoned her husband with it. Then I wanted drain-o, and heard the dark history about drain-o deaths. Then I wanted some dishwasher tablets.... When I left walmart, it really opened my eyes. Killing rats, and having shiny dishes just isn't worth it. It really came out of left field for me. I know it's my right to buy that stuff, but I think it's better for everyone if we opt out.
