Sunburst sounds OP in my opinion. I rather just keep the old sunburst and make it proc 100% of the time. I don't know if the orbs generated stack with the artifact + talent.
I actually made a talent redesign thread last week and my ideas for the Sunsinger was
Solar Wind - Created an AoE knock back and significantly increased agility/weapon handling for the warlock and allies for a short duration
Brimstone - Hits with scorch caused the target to explode blinding nearby enemies
Combined Viking Funeral and Touch of Flame
(Burn duration was nerfed for PvP and damage increased in PvE)
The new Touch of Flame made solar ability kills increase recovery stacking 3x. For the warlock and allies.
Anyway I like your idea for Song of Flame lots of buffs provided and you want to be near the warlock.
I actually had that idea for Radiant Skin and it was considered OP to majority of the community feedback. Maybe allow radiant skin to blind enemies instead? I rather keep Fireborn as is and maybe make reviving faster and orbs are generated on resurrection. For Radiant Will lower the CD of Radiance? Just some other ideas.
But any changes to make Sunsinger more support like has my... support. Yeah.

I see what you're saying. Kinda cool there's some overlap between ideas :) I really dislike Sunburst's effect overall, never found it useful especially when combined with gear perks for creating orbs. At best, they provide a tiny bonus to fireteam members who stick close by in low-pressure areas. I think having them as small bonuses on artifacts was a great idea, since it doesn't waste an exotic effect or perk option. Here's an idea, Sunburst -> Fire Affinity: during Radiance, solar elemental weapons kills gain perk effects. I.E., lingering DoT burn damage (always), Brimstone explosions on kills (when Brimstone is equipped), increased DoT (from Viking Funeral, if equipped), etc.?
