I'm sorry to hear that you're having connection issues. Sometimes these are intermittent and just happen once, or for a short period of time, due to network conditions between you, Bungie, and other players. Other times it can be related to your home network, other devices connected to your network, or the connection with your ISP.
When you see a variety of different errors in a short period of time like this it typically indicates that there's an issue with the connection along the route that traffic is taking from your console to Bungie, or the P2P connections Destiny utilizes to connect you to other players.
Take a look at our (comprehensive!) Network Troubleshooting Guide to learn how to get the optimal network setup for playing Destiny. Even when other games seem to be working fine we've found that Destiny may require a few tweaks to your network to get the best performance.

Typical, blaming us players when its your servers
-
It's not the connection of the players. It's the shitty -blam!-ing servers that bungie has. I was doing strikes with my mates. Nothing wrong and one the 3rd strike I get baboon, quail and ant eater errors.
-
Good joke. My internet is fine. Tested, hardwired. 14 ping, 166 down, 30 up, open NAT. Then BAM! with the new update and I am getting error codes even at the title screen! How am I supposed to play a game or want to play a game that gives me errors before I even start playing? I can't do a single thing in the game getting DC'd every ~5-10 minutes. Baboon, Weasel, Caterpillar, etc. Fix what you broke, something was definitely broken on your guys' end.
-
Funny that, before you guys did that update for The Taken King I had one of the best connections of all of my friends. Now I have the shittiest. So please explain how it's my or my router's fault one more time.
-
Same. It was only the update yesterday that REALLY pushed me over the edge.

Edited by rocnsock: 9/28/2015 4:12:24 AMIt's not every one of your players internet shutting out it your update common now

They did say ALONG THE WAY TO BUNGIE and other places which means it's not your Internet but the routers your Internet chooses to use to get to Bungie. I always suggest to switch to a DNS server to try and see if that stabilizes the connection. But you don't go from A to B. No you go from A to A.1 to A.2 to A.3 to A.4 to B to connect so somewhere along the travel line there is a blip in the connection and it loses it on your end. That's what they are saying also. They probably are also researching into it on their end as well to make the connections less stressful for everyone. I know it sucks but it's a wait game.

Anteater, beetle, bee, bee, weasel, weasel... Disappearance of my heavy/special ammo still happening. Wtf, Bungie...???
-
Same here. All special and heavy ammo gone when I reconnect. Not cool...
-
Beetle, beetle, weasel, beetle, bee... In that order, over the past hour.
-
"Weasel"
-
"Beetle" again, and took all my special/heavy ammo.
-
Now a "beetle".
-
"Anteater" again.
-
"Anteater" just now...
-
Just as I submitted that last post, I got "anteater", " beetle" and "viper". Tighten up, Bungie. Your 2.0.0.4 is unstable, fix it.
-
These constant error codes are very annoying, can't even participate in activities without losing connection and getting one of fifty vague animal error codes. My ports are forwarded correctly, my ISP has come and gone to write off a clean bill of health on my home network, everything else on XBL is working perfect and I'm 110dl/10ul.... So, that just leaves you, sh**ting on your loyal customers and giving us copy/paste answers on the forums. Nut up, tell us the issue and tell us you're, at least", working on it and we will feel better. Stop deflecting and ADDRESS US...
-
It may not be either you or bungie but rather somewhere at one of the network hubs the traffic is taking. It can also be caused by other players in the same game instance as you having shitty connection so the P2P connection gets dropped because your console with good internet can't interface properly with their shitty internet/network.
-
Edited by Shapeshifter: 9/27/2015 10:29:26 PMI feel ya bro. Having same issues and is frustrating as **ck. I've an excellent connection with fiber optics in my area and Destiny is THE ONLY GAME giving me these issues. Even Planetside 2 is running better then this.
-
Damn bungie your copy-paste shit got baked as hell people are clearly not happy just fix the crap
-
Bungie i been getting error codes non stop and i have decent internet connection please fix this , this make me not wanna play destiny anymore
-
That is CRAP!!! is this game TOO complicated for ya??? I have been playing since beta--- it's obvious you don't have any real control over your own game!!!!!!!!!
-
Nice deflection but ima call bullshit since this is only Destiny where these issues manifest. If it was xbl or all titles maybe you'd be on to something...buuuut its not and Bungie really needs to stop blaming everything but Bungie for Bungie problems.
