Simple question.
DeeJ said in an interview that he doesn't want us to look at our favorite weapon and consider it obsolete. I look at my Ballerhorn, Thorn, Dragon's Breath and...they're obsolete. Just a poll to see where the community stands. Bump so Cozmo can see.
Edit: Woke up to a billion notifications. Thanks for all the feedback. But you guys that say "Oh, well no because gjally never left my heavy slot." That's your own fault. There were plenty of decent heavies in Year One. You guys were too chickenshit to try them. Thunderlord and Dragon's Breath, in many cases, can do just as much damage as Gjally can, if not more. Especially post 2.0. And I don't care if Gjally stays in my inventory for the next ten years, I have a story with a weapon I love.
Edit 2: Seeing a lot of people being open to the idea, but leaving Gjallarhorn behind. In all honesty, I'm completely fine with this. Gjallarhorn is an amazing weapon, but it's lethality was ridiculous. As long as I can have all my other exotic weapons and armor, I'll be fine. Keep bumping and commenting! We've been trending for a while! Get Cozmo to see and comment on this!

Yes, but no Gjallarhorn. That was truly game-breaking. Now there is a big variety in the loadouts people use.
-
No year two Gjallarhorn. It makes things too easy.
-
I do want my pocket infinity back. I also see everyone spamming things with ghally. It make the raid and strikes much easier. I have mixed feelings.

Mida's return is nigh....
-
They will eventually.

Edited by Mobius030: 9/24/2015 2:02:05 AMI miss my mida multi and ice breaker. Still have them for that incase moment for the blueprints.
-
I just really wanna try a strong ass dragon's breath with my Taikonaut
-
5 RepliesJust the dragons breath... for...
nightstalker reasons ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
-
I would settle with my Supremacy and Deviant Gravity-A
-
The collector in me says yes ( and we know eventually all of them will progress), but the practical person in me who only uses a few says no, so I can keep the vault clean
-
5 RepliesIf I recall, there was an article before TTK in which Bungie was quoted as saying all of the Y1 exotics will be brought forward eventually, but in slow phases.
-
I will miss my mida. Gemini just isn't the same...

There were plenty of decent heavies in Year One. You guys were too chickenshit to try them. Thunderlord and Dragon's Breath, in many cases, can do just as much damage as Gjally can, if not more.
Hahahaha Haha Ha That's adorable.

Everything but gjallarhorn...just so the forums are worse.
-
1 ReplyI just want year two black hammer for gollgy and daughters and warpriest and oryx and everything else in the game.
-
1 ReplyIt's time to move on. Maybe they'll make an offline only version of Destiny where you can replay year 1 forever on your own with all your old gear. For everyone else, we are ready to move on.

im in two minds over it all, i dont covert exotics like some people do, some of my fav weapons are legendaries. As you said deej didnt want us seeing our fav weapon abandoned well my supremacy is now really only usable in pvp. It also breaks the idea of guardians telling a story of their gear, if we are all stuck with the latest stuff then there just isnt a story, everyone is on the same one. If people didnt want to keep their weapons thats cool but people shouldnt be rediculed for wanting to use the same weapons for 10 years. On the flipside, the really -blam!-ed up with weapon perks in vanilla, nothing ever really beat those weapons and so having the reset they have done now rebalances alot of things. I do like having to find and try new weapons as it breaks the comfort zone and it does make things alot more interesting than "just gjallarhorn it". In an ideal world they would let people carry through say 3 weapons into the next year, but so many people would bring the bloody raid weapons because theyre just unbeatable itll never happen.

1 ReplyI voted no....I used most of the year one exotics for at least a little bit, had fun with them and am very excited to try out new ones. I used the heck out of Gjally, had one on each character....but I'm ok not using it now. So far I've picked up Supercell and Hereafter. I like them both quite a bit. I almost used supercell to upgrade damage on a legendary, but my son said no dad, just try it for a while and I really do like it!

I could care less about exotic weapons. All I want bungie to focus on now is providing cosmetic freedom, to allow every armor ever released to be viable for armor customization. Tired of people thinking only about stats.
-
I am glad Bungie took our go-to weapons away and forced us to experiment more.
-
No. Because f#!? Thorn. I want trials with that thing dead and buried.
-
1 ReplyYes and No... No because I just want to see more...diverse weapons. I don't wanna see the same ones over and over. Just gets boring. Yes because there are a lot of weapons that I grinded soo long for and took so long to get that I feel like all the hard work is wasted.
-
I thought the plan was to implement the rest of the year 1 weapons further down the road. I have no idea where I heard that.
-
2 RepliesWah bring back gjally so everything is easy again! That's all I hear from this kid.
-
Gally had its time.. So no

At least the mida. Cmon Bungie, you know you want to
