Why is Trials of Osiris being upgraded with new gear/loot while all other PVE content is being left behind.. Seems kinda just wrong and backwards to me. After all this is a PVE game first.
End game PVE content will be restricted to nightfall, 1 raid, and strikes (if you consider them end-game) which is LESS content
While PVP players get to keep their events and they just keep adding as we go. Not to mention now they get their own nightfall-tier rewards from crucible
EDIT#2
Just to be clear, I'm NOT against ToO. I am against PVE content being left behind. PVP content gets created and sticks around, gets carried through expansions. PVE content is like "timed exclusives" only good for x weeks/months. When have they taken away PVP content? They haven't so far, just kept adding, and scaling up as they keep releasing. In ways PVP grows and sustains, while PVE stagnates. ex: Add 1 raid, take 2 and prison away... where's the balance? WHY would anyone, even noobs, ever venture to Y1 content now?
EDIT#1
PVP is also being increased with more game types, more maps, and it STILL has a monthly event, Iron banner. PVE again has been left behind on that aspect.

No our raids are getting left behind it should to
-
Lol you apparently have no idea what you're talking about. PvE isn't getting left behind. There are new strikes, a new raid, and Nightfall and a Heroic playlist coming, all of which can be considered end game PvE content. PvP is getting 8 new maps, 3 new gametypes, and Trials and Iron Banner will feature updated gear. This is not an imbalance. PvP has desperately needed new gametypes for a while, and it finally has a comparable amount of content to PvE. Oh, I forgot to mention that we are getting an entirely new area to patrol, featuring all sorts of loot, special encounters, and secrets. So, seriously, stop complaining that PvE is getting the shaft when it clearly isn't.

1 ReplyYes. Reason: It's fun unlike nearly every other crucible mode.
-
Edited by ShamWowEnthusiast: 8/30/2015 4:28:45 AMI don't see why it shouldn't be updated. There are only 2 special endgame events for PvP, 3 if you count the bounties. There is a lot more content for PvE.
Raid, NF, Heroics, Court of Oryx, ect.
-
Yes it should, but only if PvE gets carried too.
-
2 RepliesIt should be but no. They should make it equivalent to a weekly heroic since it is a weekly event. They should also add match making while they are adding Bounties to it. Remember back when weekly heroic requires a party and when the match making step in to fix the problems? Did anyone complain that we don't want match making then? The only reason to keep it in its current state is to keep the players separate. Those who ask for flawless only guardians and those still trying to get there or playing it for fun but can't because of no group. All its loot will be year one tier only too so I don't see why not.
-
Simple. PvP gets the short stick. This isn't anything new it's the same thing, they were extremely lazy with this. I'm happy we still have a PvP event though. Also, I'd be very interested in seeing the stat sheet on what's played more PvP or PvE.

1 ReplyWe are still going be able do vault glass Croata raid all that after we download dlc right? Know prob dumb question but just want make sure
-
Edited by P9685: 8/30/2015 3:48:02 AMPve content is static. Pvp content is not. Meaning in order for pve content stay current requires work from developers to continue. They woumd have to redesign vog and crotas end so that high level players cant just steamroll it. Pvp end game on the other hand depends on the players only. Edit. The new raid is an example of the evolveing pve content.
-
Dude you're seriously complaining about something that actually is continuing into year 2? It's depressing seeing the amount of crybabies on these forums.
-
3 RepliesWhy not ask if year 2 PvE content like VOG and CE should be upgraded with year 2 instead of trying to remove PvP content from the game because you don't enjoy it.
-
I'm not even a PvP guy, but yes it definitely should be.
-
Anyone know if it's going to be the same gear? Or some new sets?
-
PVP needs some consistent endgame content, trials provided that and it does so very well, there is every reason to carry it forward into taken king.

11 RepliesEdited by CHICKENSQUARE: 8/30/2015 2:18:54 AMTTK PvP side: ToO IB 3 new game modes 4 new maps New bounties/weekly bounties TTK PvE side: 8 act 1 story missions Unknown number of act 2 story missions 1 new raid New/remodeled strikes Multiple quests Gunsmith weapon bounties New vanguard bounties 3 subclass missions (duration unknown) Discoverable lore 1 new patrol location New enemy types New exotic bounties (although it's unknown how much PvP will be involved in these bounties) Nightfalls I'd say there's plenty of PvE stuff for us to do.
-
They will keep making more PvE endgame content for us where as ToO is really the only PvP endgame.
-
If they made non shitty PvE weapons, then of course. So what, we don't have endless PvE. Do we need to? If ttk gives us good PvE gear, then who cares? I love trials and the gear looks sick. It should
-
So TTK shouldn't have competitive endgame content for PvP players? That doesn't sound like a good design choice.
-
It's pvp so dont matter.
-
10 RepliesToo should still be a thing, but poe should as well. This game is marketed as a pve experience with a pvp side setup. That's how it should be.
-
2 RepliesPretty sure all current trials gear is still going in the dumpster with other legendary y1 gear.
-
I just want the weapons and armor moved forward. (I finally felt like a special snowflake)
-
2 RepliesThat will be nice. There is not point in playing it anymore. Rewards are crap after going flawless a few times.
-
Because it's the only pvp end game activity.
-
4 RepliesAs someone who frequently does not play Trials, I see no reason why it shouldn't be carried over. PvP content is different from PvE due to the fact it isn't statically leveled.
-
More people play PvE and they want more people playing PvP.
