It was posted yesterday, which means it was created right before or right after the Live Stream. "We understand that they wanted to play the game how they wanted. We didn't exactly plan for that." That's an actual line from the video, uttered by Bungie. I just... I can't believe what I just watched...

I pulled my car over at a local library at its front door illegally parked... just to sign into YouTube and dislike that video. There's just too many contradictions between what they say and what they've done. They need to rip off a bandaid when it comes to gear. Exactly how is the data from the year one legendary weapons (which STAYS in the system for everyone due to vanilla and non DLC buyers) a problem to be ascendable at the option of the players to use that stuff in year 2 after its ascended. It's not. LOL I'm beginning to believe that BUNGIE is creating this new workload of gear and weapons so that when they submit their work log and bill to Activision they can have an EVER CURRENT influx of revenue based on a non-essential workload. That justification for content is verified by us by locking us into using it. Simplified: Bungie needs money. Bungie creates garbage in the game. BUNGIE bills ACTIVISION for work done. Activision sees we use it because it's required in-game therefore justified.

"We don't want to make a game people put back on the shelf". O_O XD WHAT DID YOU THINK WAS GOING TO HAPPEN WHEN YOU KEPT TAKING EVERYTHING EVERYONE WORKED HARD TO GET, REMOVED THE VIABILITY OF EVERYTHING THEY PUT A YEAR INTO EARNING, AND LOCKED EVERYONE OUT OF IN-game ACTIVITIES? A MAD RUSH TO THE STORE TO BUY SOMETHING THAT TRASHES ALL YOUR GEAR AND LOCKS YOU OUT OF WHAT YOU SOLD THEM ALREADY???? Wow. Just wow. Fun factor is based on content. Not stripping everyone of what they could play and trashing their gear. Just make everything ascendable all the time, and just release new content. ***facepalm***Drops the bullhorn***

  • This is the most transparent bungie I've seen. It was insightful. Thx

  • Transparent in the worst way possible. Now we see exactly how little they view not only the players who play their game, but the worth of the time we put into their repetitive, grind-fest.

  • Wow! Or they're just not that good? We've seen their SDLC and its as sloppy as their comms management.

  • I don't know what they were thinking by making this... Was the idea:
"Hey, guys. PR department here. Players are leaving Destiny in droves, and the Forums haven't stopped burning since The Dark Blows came out. They know about our practices and methods to milk them for cash while taking away their favorite weapons and erasing a whole years worth of their efforts. We've tried hiding it as best as we could, maybe if we produced a ViDoc and were honest about how we have abused them in the past, been lying to them since E3 2013, and about how we will continue to do all of that in the future... they'll be OK with all of that, right? Yeah, all of those Gamers will love us again if we're simply honest about how hard we've been -blam!-ing them over."
This video, more than anything, was simply a punch in the dick for all of their Gamers. And then posting it as an "exclusive" video on one of the review sites that they've paid for good reviews (GameInformer) was just sickeningly arrogant...
