Skill based PvP matchmaking. I can't understand how anything else is a priority. As it is PvP is inaccessible and a total fun killer. If it's going to be a required activity have mercy on PvE players and give us newbie matchmaking so the scoreboards aren't four to five players with 20 kills, two or three with ten, and the rest below five.

Edited by Lost Sols: 7/28/2015 4:28:44 AMI'd like to see how exactly you work out PvP matchmaking where everyone scores well...
-
I'm not expecting everyone to score well. But if matchmaking were balanced by skill the difference in k/d spread from top to bottom shouldn't be so severe.
-
Edited by Lost Sols: 7/28/2015 4:43:01 AMActually it would be the exact same. Someone is going to be better no matter what, might be they know the map better, might be they control more advantages zones, w/e. There's nothing wrong with the way the game groups.
-
No, actually it wouldn't. K/d spread would be less extreme from top to bottom. Instead of four or five people stuck at the bottom you'll only have one or two given how terrible everyone else is. Glad it works for you, but most of my friends and I don't PvP because of how terrible the matchmaking is.

Lolol, next time post your stats first. You haven't even played enough to know maps. I get that it's tough getting slaughtered to start, but what you're suggesting is not the answer. Private Crucible matches where you can go learn maps and learn to be competitive is what this game needs.
-
Your assuming I want to be competitive. I just want the stats to look like a bell curve, not a spike.

Edited by Thufir18: 7/28/2015 5:22:26 AMI've played plenty. I just won't venture more into PvP. It's no fun in its current form. Private crucible wouldn't help any, the only reason to PvP is for exotic bounties. Offer alternative to PvP or give newbs a bracket. With the way Destiny is trying to steer us towards PvP it should be accessible.

For regular PvP, it is based slightly influenced by a skill-based factor.

I'd like to see some evidence to support that.
