To my understanding all the nerf really did was bring down its range so you can't use it at long or the far far end of mid range. The made the damage drop off matter more and brought down it's accuracy at range.
This is my favorite gun and will still be my main after TTK but some people are saying it's being nerfed into the ground. Am I underestimating the nerf? If so can someone explain it more clearly than bungie did?

2 RepliesEdited by CORD_039: 7/17/2015 8:58:22 PMThis really feels like a big F-U from Bungie. TLW has always been my favorite gun, especially since apparently I'll never get a Hawkmoon or Ghorn drop and I've been playing since day one. I Xurned my TLW and even use it in PVE to good effect, guess I won't be able to do that after September though. I think the bigger issue is not just a nerf to my favorite gun, but a nerf to ANY exotic. Bungie is essentially taking away any sense of ownership you might have had and just smacking you in the face and telling you how you have to play the game. It's a stupid move on their part that I think will come back to bite them in the Titan butt towel. September 15 is still some time away though, plenty of time to decide whether or not I want to invest any more time in what seems like is becoming less of a fun "game" and more like some sort of social experiment. Have we learned nothing from the follies of George Lucas? Apparently Bungie hasn't.

It IS being nerfed into the ground. Its just being affected by way too many changes. I made a post on the Feedback forum that might clear it up a bit for you as I listed them. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/139365394/0/0

Damage fall off is more significant. This means a few yards could drop your damage by 10+%. Damage falloff is dependent upon your range value. Range with TLW was halved. So it seems that this will have a big impact. It'll essentially be a different gun.

2 RepliesIt isn't being nerfed into the ground. Will still be deadly at close range and will be decent at medium.
