Seems like you all are reading into the details more on how the purchases work and what you potentially get and finally making a decision.

Wow i know its only a small sample group but bungievision should be worried about this. A 46% loss of sales is huge in business terms. Im not sure what they would consider an acceptable loss of players but I doubt they would be happy about losing 46%. Not sure what the current player base is but i thought they said 20mil. Just as an example then if it was that and 46% decided to stop playing and not buy ttk thats 36.8mil less sales just on the base expansion. They will know the exact figures but I bet losing half the current players will be of concern to them.

Edited by ZHX1138: 6/27/2015 4:50:04 AMWe need to consider the fact that their are many who never ever log in to bungie.net forums due to the hostile nature of this place. People tend to never really be engaged with my posts because I tend to be to positive here. So even my audience is low on my Bungie.net posts.

Yes and also forum users arent a true representitive sample of the whole community so yeah it is a biased sample for sure. I do doubt that its 20mil now too. It may be 20 mil have played since day 1 which means alot have already left so at a guess i would say its more like 6 mil and there would have been a spike with how release. Bungie will be monitoring it closley so will be already predicting expected sales of ttk. They will have figures of what they consider an acceptable loss of current players and will be hoping to make up that loss with new players coming in. They certainly wont be going backrupt but i dont think shareholders will be pleased with a 46% loss of current players if it translates into such a big loss of sales. The players are finally in a situation where they can put pressure on them to improve the areas they want improved by not buying ttk. Really we should be uniting and not squabling over the details of who is right and wrong. The people making a fuss are mostly wanting it for the good of the game which benefits all. Sure there are the self entitled bratts who are going to complain no matter what but the rest of us just want the game we know it can be. I get that you want to make a post positive about the upcoming ttk and thats cool and refreshing. I want to be feeling positive about it too but i understand the frustrations people are expressing aswell cause i feel them too. Maybe those things dont bother you and you love everything about the game. Personally im happy with some of the things others complain about like restricted ingame chat particularly in pvp but then other stuff like matchmaking and a better vault management system i think the game needs. Personally i think bungie should be more concerned if there arent people complaining and wanting things changed and improved cause that would mean people have given up hope and moved on or maybe completely happy but more likely the former. This really is there chance to make decisions on how best to address the communities complaints and the real motivator is it will translate into increased sales if they do it properly. 46% (or whatever it actually is) really should not be ignored.

I agree with most of your points. Those new collectors editions really don't compare to the initial launch value Guardian Edition which is why I'm pushing that most just buy that $40 version rather then blast money on that cosmetic gear stuff. Overall I'm looking forward to this final expansion. I just hope we get some juicy story bits in this next expansion update mostly. Story missions have been lacking more then any content in the expansions thus far. I'd rather have a good story over a new RAID. Reviews for HoW have implied that the game has garnered some needed plot even though it's short. The Dark Below was pathetic vs House of Wolves in my opinion. I enjoy the Raids but no story really. Plus my clan has issues organizing to play RAIDs. Its hard coordinating 6 people to do a Raid each week. The Prison of Elders has helped us a lot with team work with smaller groups through the week. But finally, I appreciate your post. It's nice to not have a reply that is not purely a rage filled personal attack to the poster for having a positive and balanced opinion around here. But this post marks my sign off for a while from the forums due to the downpour of rage that seems to stem here. I'd rather play Destiny or just games in general then read most of the hateful bickering going on 😕

Good idea. Yeah i do see some pretty heated posts. Much more fun playing than reading those. I dont mind people expressing opinions. It crosses the line when it gets personal imo. I do hope ttk freshens destiny up a bit and is worth the price tag. Im waiting for evidence of that this time though. I agree the $20 price tag for the extras is a waste. If i get ttk theres no way im getting that.
