Pulled Fatebringer yesterday, and looking at the perks I'm curious what the community prefers. Things I've noticed:
Field scout adds only 1 bullet to the current clip, but an additional 30 bullets to the overall count held.
Single Point Sling is simply what it states, move faster while aiming and switch to faster
Explosive rounds are good for vex below level 20, otherwise it just gets in the way of the outlaw and firefly perk.
Personally I'm leaning towards single point sling, but could be persuaded to field scout. Explosive rounds don't interest me.
What do YOU prefer?

2 RepliesField Scout is actually 40 more rounds in reserve. Too bad it doesn't stack with armor that lets you carry more HC ammo.
-
2 RepliesField scout is nice for most content but single point sling can be fun for quick strafing.
-
Explosive only mess up the perks if you can't aim for shit
-
The amount of ammo already is enough. Best to use single point sling.

2 RepliesI'm all about extra speed, so it's usually Single Point Sling for me, but I haven't seen anyone mention the only reason I ever use Explosive Rounds, which is in an Arc-Burn Nightfall where I have to deal with shields of other elements. Explosive rounds do more damage to shields, so for instance those pesky solar shielded Shanks go from a three shot kill to only two. Makes enough of a difference for me if you want to carry all Arc weapons.

Looks like I'm in the 10% that prefer single point sling with Fatebringer. Never used another perk since I unlocked that. Not saying it's the best option with other weapons, just with our beloved FB.

Edited by m00ninite: 5/14/2015 6:59:57 PMI'm voting Field Scout because it's nice to not have to wear HC ammo armor and still have max reserve. Explosive rounds were tweaked by Bungie so they don't interfere quite as badly with Outlaw/Firefly as they did before but I'm still not a HUGE fan. However, in some instances like VoG, having ER's active can make the difference in being able to OHK enemies or not so they are certainly useful in situations.

2 RepliesNo love for Single Point Sling! I use to run Explosive Rounds but now exscusively run single point, love that quick target aquisition.
-
4 RepliesWhy use field scout when it gives you one more bullet no point in my opinion I would go with explosive rounds
-
4 RepliesExplosive rounds and firefly have been patched now :-)
-
I just got a who's next+Firefly 331 scout, so I'm good for now, but I would pick field scout.
-
3 RepliesPrefer the FS, for reserve ammunition
-
5 RepliesThe added damage from explosive rounds rips through enemies easy, but because of the low ammo reserve, sometimes I'll use Field Scout.

Edited by Cool Pretzel: 5/13/2015 2:52:11 AMSingle point sling is not good. It decreases swap time by 20%. Why would you need swap time anywhere but the crucible? Fatebringer is not a crucible gun and explosive rounds are better for crucible anyways. It also increases speed while ADS by a measly 2%.

I prefer Explosive rounds for when i'm using it in something like the abyss, Confluxes/Oracles ext. But if i'm trying to get head shots for a bounty or something like that i'll use FS, i don't think I've ever used SPS.
-
You really can't go wrong with Field Scout or SPS. I've never felt the need for SPS, so I use FS for more reserve ammo. Explosive rounds are terrible.

Single Point sling

2 RepliesPVP - Single Point sling PVE - Feild Scout The Single poitn sling works well in PVP cause it helps you move faster when ADS and switch weapons faster. I choose Field scout in PVE because of the reserve ammo. A lot of people say Explosive rounds but from my experience Firefly does not like to work a lot of the time.

5 RepliesExplosive rounds screw with firefly. Field scout gives you one more bullet. SPS is the only way to go.
-
Field scout, while it only gives you one bullet, gives you about 30 more in the reserve.
-
5 RepliesGood players know to use single point sling. Can't listen to everyone.

3 Repliessingle point sling bro... no contest

Almost 150 replies?! I'm pretty excited.

1 Replywho the hell voted for explosive rounds? They're pointless.

2 Repliesim never gonna get one of these

NEVER

1 ReplyPersonally I rock single point sling. I think it's one of the most over looked perks in destiny. Switching weapons faster helps in a pinch and moving faster while ADS means dodging more are getting hit less - mixed with a character rocking agility @ max makes this perk shine in both PvP and pve
