I hate the fact that ANY gear can get you to lvl 34. Everyone will be the same lvl, so no lvl advantages in iron banner or trials. What's the point in even having lvl advantage gamemodes? They need to have vendor gear or current gear now get you to 34, and add in prison of elders and trials gear get you to 36. Truthfully they need to add more lvls than 2 when they release content so there is more room to gain advantage rather than being 1 or 2 lvls higher. Some people will be 32 for a long time 3-4 iron banner events. When others will be 34 from completing newer, harder challenges. But in reality they are just 2 lvls which doesn't really change anything.

even though you CAN ascend any legenday armor pieces, you would HAVE to do prison of elders on level 34 to even get etheric light to do so. yeah its easier i guess but with the amount of diversity we will have, itll make getting to 34 more fun because we will have so many different armor combinations that we will rarely ever see someone who looks exactly like us.

Nightfalls, weekly heroic, iron banner gives you etheric light. Why do looks make a difference, I'd think performance would be a bigger focal point. They need to give us atleast 5 lvls to strive for. What if it was this way, You start out at lvl 32 now doing prison of elders on lvl 32 difficulty until you get lvl 34, then you do it on a harder difficulty on lvl 34 to get to lvl 36, then on lvl 36 to get to lvl 38 and max out til the next dlc. You would see alot of people at lvl 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38. People who haven't completed ad much would obviously be lower lvl. But it would allow for the weaker players to consistently get better doing harder difficulties to continue to hit those higher lvls. That would also increase the life of the game. Rather than gaining 2 lvls after a month on 3 characters and play something else til the next dlc

actually etheric light HAS the chance of dropping in the nightfall and from what bungie said about people who dont have the dlc will take longer to get to 34, makes it seem like a rare drop. also in iron banner, it HAS the chance of being awarded at rank 3 and 5 packages. itll take people a while to get to 34 without being a high level first since the level 34 version of prison of elders is a guaranteed source of etheric light. but, i agree with what youre saying there should be higher levels with the highest level being the hardest to get requiring work and not rng luck

You should be a pastor in the church of Destiny. Square.

Yea any gear CAN get you to 34 but you need to do prison of elders to be able to do those upgrades

3 months down the road when the better players carry the weaker players and everyone will be 34. Adding 2 measly lvls seems worth it to you? I do 1 extra dmg to a lvl 31 and I'm 32 in iron banner. 1 damage. Imagine if there were harder difficulties to the raids that got you higher gear. Being 5 lvls higher makes a difference. Being 2 lvls doesn't is my point

You're just looking for a reason to talk shit about HoW. Wanna know how I know? Bcus unless you're close friends with someone(which is understandable)no one is going to spend HOURS, possibly days trying to help a noob get from lv 28 or even lv 31 all the way up to lv 34. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure there might be 1 or 2 people out of 1,000 who wouldn't mind helping people to such an extreme but those odds are so unlikely it's not worth mentioning. Did it happen with TDB? Some people might say stuff like "helping people with Crota" but that doesn't mean they'll run it 3-5 consecutive weeks with a noob just to get em to 32. So no it did not happen in TDB and it will not happen in HoW. Anyways, idk if maybe you were above the influence when making those calculations but that sounds fishy. There are other variables to a 32 vs 31(or another 32). Certain weapons have different % values. Like AR naturally have low damage output so it makes sense that the different will be 1 maybe 2 damage. If you conducted your experiment on a sniper rifle or a hand cannon and the damage difference was 1 or 2, then yes, lv difference wouldn't mean crap in IB. Not sure why I wrote this long ass wall of text lol

I tested it with scout rifles. Killed 2 guys, same distance headshots. A lvl 31 and a 32. Did 1 dmg difference. You actually believe that 1 lvl makes a difference? Am I the only one who isn't satisfied with 2 measly lvls. 5 would be worth alot more

Ah i see. That's strange but honestly, light lvs make more of a difference in PVE.

Another selfish person.. Get a life

People will look different though and customize there shit more it's a great idea
-
True, just saying that there needs to be more lvls available. So it will be more distinctive. All of destiny's progress to date will be overridden with just vendor gear

You still need to do end game activities to level up to the max.
